  1. Last night's set up at our Cuban Gig at the Polish Centre in Hammersmith.  This has to be one of the best set up Jazz Venues in West London.  And the Polish know how to Salsa til late into the night!

Plugged my Noble DI direct into the House PA and into the house amp plus monitors.  My head was about 18 inches from the Timbale player's ride cymbal

  2. Bubinga, when you have been contributing the fantastic ideas and input you have for so long to this site, we should contribute something to you right now, even if it's just creative thought and positive ideas.  Stick with it....we will be with you all the way :)

Well spotted. We are all SAHB fans and the name comes from a track on their album Tomorrow Belongs to Me.

We played with Hugh McKenna on Keys for about 20 years.  He very sadly passed away just before lockdown.  He was a natural keys player, couldn't read notation, but taught our children to play mean boogy woogy piano, and was a gentle and gifted soul.  I miss playing with him.

Very interesting venue. A retired school teacher converted the living room in his Victorian era home into a music venue.  Lots of Victorian furniture and Persian rugs. There's a nice bar. However, no liquor license, people bring their own booze. Very well attended.

Personally I wasn’t feeling my playing. Something was off. The sound provided was questionable.  It was a 7-10 gig with a 15 minute commute. Pay wasn't that great, our band leader gave me $110.00.

Can I ask what the speaker looking thing behind the guitarist;'s right leg is?
