Yep, in the last 10 years or so prices have increased a lot. In 2009 I bought my first US Precision 2nd hand in a music shop for £500.

International shipping prices up 400% affecting all parts of the bass. Wood prices up maybe 200%. Scare supplies of ash and other woods so wood prices are sky high
