1.
Mosley violins in mosley, yes really, are excellent. Rebuild my db from a pile of broken wood and some strings, highly recommend them.
Thanks, that's where I've taken it to. They seem to be very nice and helpful people.
2. Trade for EBS cabs, I really fancy a neo 2x12 or a 'classic 4x10. For sale for £275. Photos here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=99644
3. What's there to 'get' ? It's music the same as thrash metal, funk, blues and any other genre you care to name. Why do people post threads about not getting jazz ? You never see threads about not getting blues, or thrash or punk. Jazz is far more accessible than thrash death metal or whatever.
4.
SC not doing it for you? Cheers Mark
No, not really. I did say that I was thinking of selling the AG500 if we hadn't traded. It's a beautiful amp, just a bit too warm sounding for me I guess.
5. Perfect condition AG500SC plus a soft carry case for trade for an EBS head or for sale at £595.
6. Tell them about this thread. Bad publicity generally works wonders.
7. I just got my new DB today, and very nice it is too. It needs setting up though, and I want a pickup fitting to it. I live just outside Birmingham, any suggestions as to where to take it please ? Thanks .

10. I'm getting this tomorrow http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=98434 I'm going to need to get a gig bag for it (I'm bringing it home wrapped in a duvet ). Can anyone recommend a nice one that's not too expensive. I also need to get a pickup fitted to it, so again any recommendations would be most welcome. One last thing , does anyone know where I can get it set up and have the pickup fitted, I live in Birmingham. Thanks !
11. In excellent condition, nicely padded and quite light to carry. I've owned it for about 12 months and only used it once, and it's taking up space that my new double bass can occupy, and I need the funds for a double bass gig bag and pickup. £45 posted.
12. Here are a couple of photos. I can also include a Boss 9 volt power supply for an extra £10.
13. In excellent condition, I only bought it from on this site last week. However something else has come up for sale that I'd like to get, so this has to go. I got it for a good price, so I can let it go for £65 including UK postage.
14.
Let's see the other hole
I take it you mean this one . Not happy with my attempt at arty photos ?
15. This is 'as new', virtually unused. It's what they call a short one, and measures 105cm to 120cm (approximately). It's made from a nice brown coloured peice of leather that's about 4mm thick, it's really well made and should last a life time. £15 including postage.
16. The Superquad is an excellent cable, but really too long for me, consequently it's never been used. The Original is also in perfect condition. The Superquad is 6 metres long, with an angled jack at one end and a straight jack at the other - £15 including postage. The Original is 3 metres long and is straight jack to straight jack - £10 including postage - SOLD.
17.
I don't have a MM bass or even a MM pup in front of me but is it not possible to simply remove the plastic pup surround and replace that with a 'sealed' top (a la Bartolini/EMG) cover... failing that if the plastic surround comes off can you fit a spacer that will mean the pole pieces are dropped below the level of the surround (in my mind I know what I'm talking about, even if nobody else does ). I am just thinking out loud here and it might be a completely sealed unit for all I know!
I know what you're saying. I was having a similar problem on my fretless '62 jazz. I put some folded paper under the pickup cover, between the poles. Just to lift the cover off the pickup by a few millimeters.
18. http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/rothwell.shtml For trade for an EBS Multicomp. For sale for £90.
19. Written ny Lincoln Goines and Robby Ameen. A really excellent book in great condition with CD's. £15 including postage.
