So, that's set one of the raw colours. More to come and then we will start to look at combining colours!

I thought the ‘heft’ debate had concluded that it wasn’t necessarily the amp topology (class A, B, D etc) that caused the lack of perceived ‘heft” but it was the use of switch mode power supplies commonly found in class D micro heads?
But then again, I know nothing of amplifier design engineering so I may have picked that up wrong?
No, that debate was ended when it was concluded that trouser flapping wasn't as prevalent nowadays due to lack of flares compared to the 70's rather than due to any amp technology at all..

Ey up!
Nice to see you've found your way over!
You'll find a lot of suggestions for basses for the smaller-handed gentleman..

Yes, anyone can make a mistake, it's how businesses deal with customers when things go wrong that counts and the more I deal with businesses the more I think it is down which individual you happen to get to communicate with, hence the variations in responses from the same company.
I'd certainly say that's a big part of it...

Received a reply to my email at midday. Profuse apologies, posting the correct mains lead out to me straight away.
That's what you want. Bit of grovelling and then a new lead posted to correct the situation - I'd call that excellent service.

And we thank you for your impending activities. Obviously we’ll need some creamy plastic additions to make a valued judgement.
I may start without for general consumption, and then add in some creamy plastic for those of a specialist disposition

Oh, and stains are due for delivery tomorrow, so best make sure you've got plenty of popcorn on the go and I'd have at least a couple of loo breaks as well...

To be clear, I’m looking forward to seeing the results and I’m making myself suitably comfortable for the incoming posts. I’m not here to píss on anyone’s fireworks, which seems to be quite de rigueur amongst some folk recently. I love a build thread.
That's okay. I'm partly doing the offcuts staining for my own benefit, and partly as a bit of BC community service to see what happens!

Yeah ha ha! My back wouldn't let me take it out the house, my neighbours wouldn't want it in the house ha ha!
I certainly don't want to be regularly trying to get it into the car. The neighbours are a reasonable distance away, but I suspect the missus might have something to say about me using it at home regularly (not that I'd be able to hear a word she was saying...)

Yes, I did look at it many times!
I suspect the potential market is actually limited to those with the backs and stamina to cope with it, those who have very tolerant neighbours, and those who have a vehicle suitably sized to cope with the beast!
Medium Scale Jazz Build..... a what now??

I used 120 grit wet and dry to knock the colour down and get a decent contrast going.
Will be interesting to see how other colours look when mixed in..
