The BC market is very strange at the moment I think..has been for a while IMO.
Might be wrong on this but it seems to me that there's more than an air of caution about spending larger sums of money on bass related items as we approach 29th March.
On a personal note, if I hadn't invested money into moving to a bigger house last summer, I would definitely have been very interested in this!
If I were you, I'd hang on to it. 😊
Thanks, its such a lovely instrument. The ONLY reason for selling is I'm after (another) motorbike. Don't need the money, and the neck feel is to die for.
I may well end up keeping it.

Wow.
I'm really surprised at the lack of interest.
Wasn't expecting that!

Thanks Stuart.
Don't really want to sell it tbh...I've wanted one since I was a teenager.
May well change my mind!

Hard to actually get to see what it looks like as the clip seems to be 5 minutes of close-up shaky/blurry hand-held phone-cam. Had the sound off but would hazard a guess that was accompanied by some sneering.
Anyway - looks like someone's 60s/70s shed project based on generic junky Eastern European components from the era. They don't make 'em like that any more basically because they never did.
The sound / commentary is superb. Worth listening to.

35" scale on a 4 string?... that's unusual.

Brilliant.

That's a real beauty...I love the era of brass nuts, hardware...and mini toggle switches.

Oh dear...just as I feared!

Simple question.
Can a fretted carbon fibre neck be defretted to make a fretless one, in the same way a wooden one can?
Is it more difficult and expensive?
Anyone done this already?

'eBay guarantee' - only if you are paying via paypal afaik!
That's my understanding too.
-
Hmm...this is news..what exactly is
' the ebay guarantee'?
How would you prove to ebay that you'd sent the money by direct transfer if the seller decides to deny any knowledge of payment?... I thought that was the whole point of PayPal payments i.e there'd be proof....just asking..:-)
-
Dazed,
I love dealing with true gents like that...its just that personally if feel uncomfortable send wire transfer.
-
I see instruments I'd like to buy from time to time on ebay.de ...the only trouble I'd a lot of the sellers only offer direct money transfer as a payment option. Why would anyone buy an item using this method ( even if you're from Germany) as there is no guarantee of anything even bring sent, and no course of action in case its a scam. Surely I must be missing something here as a lot of sellers use this method and PayPal is not usually an option.
?? Anyone???

Reluctantly selling this babe of a bass. In really nice condition for its age. Everything works as it should.
Has one of the nicest feeling necks I've ever played.
Inside of control cavity cover is signed by Billy Sheehan.
I really don't want to post ad I have no case...but could perhaps be persuaded.
Would prefer local pick up , or arrange to meet halfway...speak to me.
Looking for a sale as I'm looking to buy a motorbike!
More photos available on request.
