    Two new 44-51's to add to my arsenal!! The one with the Black Plate is a Skyline with a standard neck which was bought whilst I was waiting for my own spec' done to be built. So the the one with the Tort plate was discussed with Lakland and ordered through The Bass Gallery (Martin & Charlie are great guys) in January this year. It's a 44-51M which has the contoured body. The Butterscotch colour is not standard on the US basses so they did this for me and I also requested a Jazz profile neck. They also supplied a Black plate for me as I could not decide what to have. Anyway after 10 months of worry, e-mails and anticipation, my baby arrived on November 20th. So here they both are, gig ready the next day. The USA one is also featured on Laklands Facebook page just before being shipped.

    Totally agree with you Smaz, it's a beaut, but my No 1 USA Lakie has a Jazz neck which I love so much. Hence I don't get to play this one much

    Finally decided to part with my back up bass. This Sunburst Skyline with a Tort Plate dates from 2008 and has been professionally converted by Charlie Chandler and sports both P & J Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Pick Ups. Immaculate condition and both looks and sounds amazing. Supplied with a Lakland Gig Bag. More pics to follow once I've cleared up some old pics on here 😥
