  1. Good review, and well done on getting it free!
I have had mine for about 2 years now, i got one of the first lot when they came out (wish i had offered t review it!) it is a brilliant bag, does what it say on the tin and in the review and some. I agree with Ped about the opening of the second bass compartment, but all you have to do as he says is to open it right out and flip the top half to the side and it works a dream. If you have no stand for a guitar but will be swapping, then take the back one out to play and then swap between the top compartments to avoid the difficulty. My guitarist was initially sceptical and was very much a hard case only guy, but he saw it and was really impressed how it packs armour like a chinuck helicopter-chopter.

This bag is still going strong for me, they deliver really quickly and are amazing at customer service.

On an additional note i just picked up their DJ mix bag which is heavuily on sale as it is discontinued and it is a very good bag for you class D amp people out there

  2. Great to hear that, i have a super twin as well and stumbled across an awesome deal for the M900 which was a B-Stock so bit the bullet. Should be here next week.
Just have to sneak it past the mrs.......

Pedal wise i have a few but i will be interested to see whether it replaces the need for my b7k and VMT or just adds ot it

  3. The third band for last in line and Inglorious were called Wild Guys and you didn't miss much. 2 Les Paul's and a Stingray left an unarticulated sound they were all pimping sludgy stuff. Young kids obviously with talent, but for my mind a bit sulky teenager with Beenie hats, dime a dozen band.

BTW not hating on LP's LIL had one paired with a Stingray and a keyboard to cover all sonic gaps better, and Inglorious paired their LP with a non reverse gold gibson firebird which was lovely. Bassist had a Warwick stack and bass, but for me was not quite pushed through enough, he plays more in the higher end of the spectrum, but a real good show man and a nice little solo

  4. I know Weston Super Mate got the heave-ho earlier but does Bristol count as a big city.....?
You could say for example pick an area near like Bath, chipping sodbury, or Chippenham for example and have the benefit.
Bristol does get gigs from touring bands, the smaller scene is also good.
Cardiff will have a scene so you could look at somewhere close like Newport, but I have no idea what that is like

  5. For all you DG guys out there think i found a good solution for a case at a pretty good price. I have Fusions double gig bag and it is a tank. Last years models are going cheap whether its the DJ workstation of the Laptop workstation you may like.

I may have accidentally got an M900 so i'll report when the bag comes in as well

  6. Used it in the following basses:
Fender cabronita-Passive and recessed jack (angled cord ends would not fit in)
G&L ASAT both semi hollow body in active and passive mode
G&L L1500 in active and passove mode

Worked perfectly in them all, I did not test the full range but never cut out and I have been in a different room in the house so not line of sight and it still worked.
    No pops when you change.

Only problems (which are not huge) base unit is a 5v USB charger so you need to plug it into mains, if it's in your board you can use a power pack like you charge your mobile phone with, Anker ones are brilliant in various sizes, or you need a power brick by Yankee, the PS M-1

I have not used the DI straight out the receiver so cannot comment.

Overall though brilliant piece of kit for the price.

    Thoroughly recommended

  7. Sounds like it's all good for you. Every time I look at another smaller new amp, my LH1000 just keeps blasting away and they are built like tanks

I know space is tight but do you think you could fit in a double gig bag and could then take 2 basses?

I have one from Fusion, a UK based company and awesome to deal with. Those bags are built like tanks also

  8. By the way I have a Hartke LH1000 and it's very loud and bombproof and pretty transparent to allow you to amplify what you throw at it.

I have the Barefaced supertwin speakers which are phenomenal and loads of bass.
I had the Hartke HyDrive 410s, very good as well but I needed a little more low end for my liking and a lighter weight so moved them on

  9. All depends on your sonic space.

A Hartke flat EQ is bass knob 2/3, mid knob 10, treble knob 2/3. You can then work from there to tinker your sound. Not all 410s are bred alike and you can find endless discussions on dispersion issues, but it fully depends on the components in the Cab.

So far as not cutting through, well if you have a guitarist with a Les Paul and then you play something like a Fender Starcaster with 'Mudbucker' type pick ups you will just get a wash of sound, or if it's too heavily distorted to be articulate.

Pair instruments right, get the balance and EQ together and you will get heard just fine I think.

Most important thing is to have fun and do whatever you want and sounds good to you and the band.
You look at a guitarist like Ty Tabor in Kings X and for years people were trying to work out his sound buying all sorts of expensive gear, and actually it was from a very old, relatively cheap amp that he just lived and tinkered with till it matched dUg's sound that he took ages to tinker with.

I'm sure you'll get in fine as long as people keep drinking in the pubs!

Make sure you post your rig pics!

  10. This will create a great debate as each of those has their merit and no matter how good they are, they may not sound right to your ears......
So for my 2 pence worth can I ask if you like the Hartke sound?
If so you can get an LH500 or LH1000 cheaply second hand, i got mine in a flight case perfect for under £200.
I have a Barefaced Supertwin which is a 212 and it is very loud.
I got the Cab second hand and had decent change out of £1K.

If it's lighterweight you need with power to drive speakers then there are other things like Tecamp Puma, Aguilar Tonehammer 500, EBS Reidmar 750 all very well priced on the second hand market.

    Good luck!
