  2. If the right bass comes along I’d consider putting cash towards the trade also cheers
  3. Here we have a custom natural finish bite bass guitar which is very similar in profile to a p bass, I recent got this in a part trade exchange and after using it twice this week at rehearsals I’ve realised I’d like to go back to a jazz neck, as you can see it cost over €1150 and the build and tone is fantastic, it’ll come with Schaller S strap locks fitted and the original gold ones will be in the hardcase, I’d like a straight swap for a Fender Jazz Bass so if anyone fancies it please message me however if it catches your eye and you want to buy I’d be willing to sell also, below is the website with more specs for the bass also, I’d prefer local pickup to try the bass out before any deal is made but I will have it shipped out also thank you.
  4. Maude thats a cracking looking bass pal, id also like to know who to contact about them mate cheers
  5. damn ill need to rehearse it this week with the band and run it fairly hard, if it isn't cut out there could be a Markbass set up for sale on here by Tuesday lol
  6. im only worrying as ive never used an amp that small for bigger gigs, do you guys reckon this'll cut through on stage with drums and a guitar?
  7. To be fair I know size doesn't matter and I used a Peavey TKO115 Sheffield combo for many years playing fairly big gigs and through a P.A it never let me down once and volume from it was never a problem so if that done the trick live will this set up be ok? Also my previous set up was the Fender Rumble 500 with a separate 2x10 speaker cab and again I never had any issues with that
  8. Thing is ive went ahead and bought the head and cab as I managed to get them both pre owned as my budget wouldn't stretch any further and now its arrived I seriously misjudged it, its really small but with plenty of punch (obviously I can't run it hard at home) and we have a fairly big gig next weekend at an outdoor festival and im worried it won't cut through on stage and monitors can be poor as you all will know
  9. Thank you very much for your replies guys unfortunately since money is tight and my budget is what it is, the first set up I mentioned is what it looks like it'll need to be, i may upgrade another cab in the future but it won't be anytime soon unless the generous members of bass chat want to throw a free cab my way lol
  10. Hey folks been looking at giving these a try iv'e just sold my Fender Rumble combo set up and with my small budget i'm looking at the Markbass NY121 1x12 Cab and the Markbass F1 Head, just wondering if anyone here has any experience on this set up and if the rig will be powerful enough for bigger gigs, any info would be much appreciated so thanks in advance cheers.
  11. Hey folks got a wee gig in said venue tomorrow night if anyone local fancies a night out with some live music in Kircaldy, just a wee heads up troops.
  12. Hi Rick and Gary cheers lads and i know what you mean everytime i go online for strings etc i end up being side tracked hehe
  13. Thanks very much lads glad you like it, it's great but it was an absolute nightmare and such a long process trying to source everything to be exactly right however it's done now and i'm very happy with it.
  14. Absolutely cracking basses, love mine it has a very wide range of tones and in my opinion plays better than a Fender, here it is the MarloweDK signature model highly recommended.
  15. Hey troops here's my two pence worth my 1968 Rickenbacker 4005 jetglo and my Rickenbacker 3001 hope you like.
  16. First real post here folks and hope it's appreciated, after much time, effort and hard earned cash this is my Epiphone Jack Casady fully customised as played by Mani the roses bass player used on the reunion tour, from the strings to the full set up etc. Unfortunately it hasn't been gigged yet but i have recorded with it at home and personally i think it's sounding deadly very nice deep growl when needed or still a nice trebly tone if the tone is adjusted and i'm using a pick [attachment=194957:IMG_0467.JPG]
  17. Hi John how are you mate cheers for the welcome pal
