  1. Hi everyone, I've got a few ideas that could make some really cool, but simple, pedals. The thing is that i don't know anything about electronics really and just want to approach a builder and say “build me a pedal based on X but with functions/features A, B and C and i want it to look like [holds up a drawing]” with the aim of me then selling on these pedals under my own brand at a profit, the builder already being paid by me. I know that's basically what Mike Matthews did worth ehx and i just don't have the attention span to learn to build myself. I've shot an email to a few UK builders this morning, but what do you all think? what problems do you think ill face? One that has occurred to me is that I'll be basically paying the builders custom shop rate then having to price accordingly to make a profit myself, which might put the final price beyond the planned price point. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
  2. Jonny was great to deal with. Happy customer here
  3. Yes it does! Sorry for the delayed reply, I'm not receiving notifications for this thread even though I'm following it!
  4. Im loving my cij mustang so much that i want a second and my choices are either pj, wait for another reasonably priced cij to turn up in a different colour to the one i have our wait for a used jmj mustang to turn up (might have a bit of a wait for that).
  5. Any idea if a Japanese mustang bass pickguard would be a direct replacement? I've always felt that that p-pickup on the new pj just seems oversized aesthetically on what is quite a small bass. I'd probably want to swap it out with a nordstrand nm4 or something.
  6. Yeah to me i feel like the bass player for the white stripes (that never existed)
  7. Hi everyone, Can't believe I'm doing this. I bought this brand new only a few weeks ago from Andertons for £650 (without hard case). THEN a bass i have been lusting after for many years (cij mustang) came up for sale at a steal of a price and i had to have it, making this redundant as i prefer the short scale of the mustang. This is a brilliant bass with a p/j setup, volume/tone/pan config. unique body shape. Sounds great. I spent over 2hrs in Andertons bass room with a £700 budget and walked out with this as soon as i played it. It even beat out the basses I'd gone to try. I've got a hard case which i can include.i took the original knobs off so i could try different ones but I'll include the original ones with the sale. I'm looking for £550 inc uk postage, Highlands and Islands will be extra. Paypal preferred.
  8. Urgh so I've impulsively bought two new basses recently and I've gotta recoup costs. Darkglass Alpha Omega: you probably all know what this is. Great preamp, overdrive and DI. SOLD posted in the uk. Dod Carcosa fuzz Sweet fuzz that's based on the maestro fz1 but works great on bass at the right settings. SOLD posted in the uk Unbranded FUZZ MACHINE So this is basically a rebranded Ibanez Standard Fuzz - an awsome vintage Superfuzz style circuit. I believe that at the time the Japanese manufacturers of the ibanez standard fuzz had enough of the parts left over to just manufacture more under their own brands. This is pretty much identical to the ibanez standard fuzz but instead is just called Fuzz Machine and doesn't hold a manufacturers name. Great great great fuzz pedal with a footswitch that changes between tone 1 (mid scoop with tonnes of bass and treble) and Tone 2 (no scoop, gritty and cuts like a knife ). edit 18/07/17: stomp switch is fine, Its actually an issue with the soldering on the lead that connects the battery clip to the pedal. I've resoldered it to the clip and the pedal performs as it should unless you have the battery door open and the battery loose. £SOLD posted in the uk. Payment via paypal please
  9. Bump, i feel like this is a fair price, am i wrong?
  10. I bought this brand new recently and its really great. I sat in the bass room at Andertons for two hours and ended up walking out with this. However, the gas never ends and I'm looking for a mustang bass (the older Japanese models). I really want short scale too work for me. P/j setup with maple neck and through body or top loading bridge. Looking for £SOLD collected from Rickmansworth, Herts. Would consider posting to mainland UK for 30 quid. No highlands or islands or any other area that has a surcharge. May consider a trade for a mustang/musicmaster bass Payment via paypal or cash on collection From the Reverend website: CUSTOM PICKUPS We design our own proprietary custom pickups, to achieve the best tonal match with our instruments. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching. HIPSHOT ULTRALIGHT TUNERS These tuners have a housing made of aircraft grade aluminum that makes them extra-light. The difference in weight can be as much as 2-3oz less in the headstock, which means a more balanced bass that’s more comfortable to play. And the tone is great! Your bass is more defined and enhanced with the Hipshot Ultralites. KORINA BODY Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics. LOCK DOWN BRIDGE Our bridge features allen bolts that lock each saddle down to the massive base plate. This locks the bridge into one solid unit which enhances clarity and attack, and produces bell-like sustain. This versatile bridge can also be strung string-thru-body or top-load. PICKUP PAN CONTROL This control allows you to blend the two pickups with one knob. Roll in the bridge pickup for more midrange punch, or bring up the neck pickup for more low thump and open highs. Dialing in the perfect tone has never been easier! SIX-BOLT NECK PLATE Two extra bolts increase mounting pressure of the neck by fifty percent. This makes a stronger neck connection, which improves sustain, tuning stability, and neck alignment. And for convenience, the two small screws hold the plate in place when removing the neck.
