  1. Simply simple simplicity, check this GSS 06B400H : https://www.guitarsoundsystems.com/gss-06b400bh-100-watts-mini-bass-amplifier-head-c2x24693747
  2. Sadly, in terms of heads, there is only the Acoustic Image solution, the Euphonic Audio Doubler is not a real double bass head, no ultra low level input for say a piezo without preamp...
  3. Urm, urm, nice bass. 😉
  4. The easiest way would be to put a bridge with piezo saddles AND a buffer preamp for the piezos, so around £300 to £1000 GBP depending the brand of piezos and buffer preamp... Check these links : https://www.rmcpickup.com http://www.graphtech.com/products/brands/ghost/ghost-pickups---bass http://www.graphtech.com/products/instruments/bass/preamps-for-bass https://www.fishman.com/accessories-tuners/powerchip/ http://noll-electronic.de/guitar-electronics/mixpot/ http://www.richter-ee.de/mixer.html
  5. If the built-in tuner is mandatory, then the choice is very narrow, TC Electronic or Peavey in the 3 combos below : https://www.thomann.de/gb/solid_state_bass_combos.html?price-first=0&filter=true&manufacturer[]=TC Electronic&manufacturer[]=Peavey&feature-46931[]=1x 15"&feature-46931[]=2x 10" For the price these retail, my advice would be to buy it new.
  6. The MIDI Wal has MIDI integrated in the bass via frets sensors, the regular has no MIDI integrated.
  7. I too have been impressed by Jonas Hellborg since I discovered him when the album Adfa was released in 1989. Then I've been listening to all records he's been playing on and I must admit I became a compulsive buyer and certainly owns almost every record he played on... He surely is my main influence musically speaking.
  8. The colour is not right, it should be one of that typical Fender blue toilet seat. 🤣
  9. Why not buy the real thing ? https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PBassTFflBlkd1--fender-tony-franklin-fretless-precision-bass-black Or in two parts : https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-USA-Fender-Tony-Franklin-Precision-P-Jazz-Bass-LOADED-BODY-Nitro-Black/142882553056?hash=item214476bce0:g:Pl4AAOSwf31bWJeU https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fender-USA-Tony-Franklin-Precision-Fretless-Precision-P-BASS-NECK-TUNERS-Ebony/362396289171?hash=item5460808893:g:pFEAAOSwrVRbWJeg
  10. Thanks mate, the bass for sale here, even if it has the full graphite neck has exactly the same sound, and I know it because it was mine. That said, I've seen this tour at the MAI in Nancy (France) with the late terrific Shawn Lane, and Jonas Hellborg was playing his modified Crafter. What good memories it has awaken. 😊
  11. Gorgeous instrument. Don't worry for your intonation, use your open strings and harmonics as these are a fixed reference. It helps a lot. Use a tuner too so you'll see if you are in tune. Didn't I tell you about these Shuker ? They are just wonderful instruments. Congratulations and as I always say : no frets, no limits ! 👍
  12. Especially for me. 🤣
  13. Yes, well done Eddie. 👍
  14. Quite the same story for me guys. So see you in the shed too, with my real name there.
  15. Just like this thread has opened again the debate for the gender of the bass, which is neutral like any animal or a baby, even if the latter does not play a six strings bass guitar.
  16. And don't think about what it's doing in your intestine. 🤔
  17. Simply because of the magazine Esquire and to avoid another trial like the one for the Telecaster which was named at first Broadcaster, but Gretsch had a drum set named Broadkaster, hence the low profile which is the best Leo has ever had. So the Squire became Squier, and that's the end of the story or the beginning.
  18. And this a Plek machine... 😂 🤣 😆
  19. Congratulations, I've seen that the bass is sold. You now own a superb fretless bass. Don't be afraid to play it, the more you'll play, the better you'll sound. 👍
  20. Indeed, an eLbow relies on too much practice. 😋
  21. I started my first course yesterday evening, the only one about fretless, and went to the third of it. Being a fretless bass player for over 30 years and devoted to 6 strings basses, I knew everything Steve LAWSON was talking about, but merely put it into practice. Then after that I started to use what I've seen with my bass and ended up playing around an hour or more (after having closed my practice log) using all my right hand fingers, which I never did before and it became clear and easy to me. Funny, no ? That said, being hyper structured, I hated the old web site which was a total mess. The new one is way much... structured. And being a self taught player myself, what I like is the fact that I can learn my way, so attending an entire course step-by-step and repeating the hard places by simply pressing pause, go back to the difficult point, and start over and over if necessary and still having the same quality level of teaching because it's recorded. Try this with a teacher, he'll certainly loose patience and will not have the same approach when starting back where you stopped, if he even remembers what you were doing... So I like it and the next step will be learning back some theory, which I certainly already know, but as I said in my SBL introduction, I need to sum up all my knowledge. And it seems to work.
