Following this thread has been great! I'm thinking of building the 2 way design with the Beyma and the P Audio.. Hows it going with the flatpack? 🤔

Nice! Just get on/off switches installed on the jack plate to control the horns! like on the back of the Hartke Hydrive 1x12..

I would say go for it...i have one that i have swapped the drivers out for 2 oberton 10B200's. This did make a great sounding cab but if i were you i would leave the Harley Benton as it is, it sounds a lot better than more expensive 2x10's that I've tried. [/quote] In the US the Eminences are a lot cheaper...so they are probably a no brainer for them....but how driver sound to player is most important. For instance i've played through a Ampeg SVT and 6x10 a few times and like the sound of them, but i wouldn't want that sound all the time. I want a more versatile solution.

[/quote] I've tried a few Neo loaded cabs, namely, Vandekley 2x10, Tec Amp, Mark Bass, GK and Hartke, of which i like the Hartke 1x12. out of all those i prefer the Vanderkley's and the Hartke 1x12...i'm not a big fan of 2K mid peaks! I lean towards a flatter sound..

[/quote] Cheers Marty, but i'm going for the Bill Fitzmaurice Simplexx 212 build...i like the fact that you can have a choice of drivers, not necessarily cheap!! The Faital Pro 12PR300 also fits the bill..(pardon the pun). The Kapperlite's are twice the price of many drivers in the 12" range, but are they twice as good?

I've read through Bill's documentation, and he does specify T/S spec info for woofers that will work, and the SM 212 Beyma's fit in nicely! [/quote] I'm not too concerned about having a lighter weight neo drivers...and the Eminence neo's are too expensive. My main concerns are not to prominent upper mids, but the extended highs of the Beyma's sounds interesting. I've decided to go for the Simplexx 212 design, so if i have a driver with enough highs..say around 4k, i would leave the tweeters out...

[/quote] Tell me about it! I've got a list of DIY home jobs building up too! but i've also got the DIY cab build bug! The last project i did was a Harley Benton 2x10 upgrade with the help of Arjank from Talkbass, he recommended the Oberton 10B200 drivers, its a very nice 2x10 for small gigs....but now i'm after more power and more low's. I'm using a Hartke LH1000.

I like the look of the Fane 12 500LF....I wonder if they will work with the Simplexx I've had Fane in the past and like the sound of them.
