Had the first album for a while after I heard Heavy Situation on a promo. I was hoping you might get a slot at a classic rock society gig in Rotherham but it looks like you have got some live dates lined up now anyway?
Yep Cheers Kev - Coming soon!

Your bass sounds bloody great.
For the video yeah I had my TC RH750 and BF two10 on show..
The bass on the album was recorded direct via a valve mic-pre using my 2016 Elite Precision (the bass I'm using whilst 'suited' in the video).
The song is about the grind that can happen in a busy working covers band, and the comparative pleasure of performing your own songs to an appreciative crowd....hence the 2 sets of clothes, different basses etc..
Cheers for the kind responses, we're really happy with how this album has turned out, hoping for more positive responses around the scene...

It all depends on the situation really and what the better offer was. Pulling out of a dep gig to go and dep on another gig, for a few quid more, like you hinted at, isn't good form really.
This is absolutely true. Pulling a dep gig for a different DEP gig is bad form.
I take dep gigs with a covers band on the understanding that if anything comes in for my Full time (originals) band, then I won't be able to do it.
They are fine with that, they do use backing tracks though and have versions of said tracks which have bass on them, so they can still get by if needs be. They just prefer to have a bass player instead of bass in the box..
Horses for courses / YMMV etc......

What about something like this? Level matching and switching made easy!

I found getting the feel and groove of a Pump It Up by Elvis Costello took a while. Not a particularly difficult line to play, just the feeling is way different to my regular style, which is why I wanted to learn it.
Great Bassline that, used to do it in a covers band a few years ago..

I've two P/Js, one fretted, one fretless, with a passive circuit that essentially gives me the option of JB solo, PN solo (classic Precision), JB+PN, JN solo, JB+JN (classic Jazz), JB & PN series (kinda HB). You need PUPs with lots of wires like Dimarzios, but I love the versatility without the need for actives circuits.
Did you make this circuit yourself? sounds very interesting!
Any pics/diagrams?

Precision shaped PJ Basses are doing it for me at the moment! The ideal compromise...

These seem to be budget CVs (similar to VMs) made now in Indonesia so maybe not the quality and playability of the supurb Chinese range.
Yep - 'Crafted in Indonesia'. They're on the Fender website, here's the back of the new 60's P-Bass headstock:

So this is the most active Yammy fan boy area, and I know it’s a ‘BB’ thread, butnfor all of you like like the Attitude Billy’s sheehan bass, there is a new one due out soon in the original colour he would have modded his P bass on and a roasted maple neck.
Neck pick up looks different as well .
Enjoy.....

I'm not normally one to drool over older basses. They do have their quirks and mojo etc.
But this is RIDICULOUS!
This bass is 52 years old.
Yeah I saw this online over the weekend too. Jaw dropping!

Thanks for the info. Have you tried different cabs with the RH750?
Haven't sorry, since I got the RH750 I've only had the two10.
On a tour I did last year though, I played through a shared backline of an RH750 with a RS212 & RS210, that sounded pretty nice, but maybe not quite you're after..

I've got the RH750 and use it with a Barefaced two10. Suits me perfectly when I have to use backline (usually HELIX and in-ears).
Having said that, you also wont go far wrong with the MarkBass setup you mention. Bass Direct have a s/h LMtube500 at the moment...£399 with a flight case.

I'd love to come along to this, but it's the Mrs birthday the day after........I've a feeling any celebrations will be taking place over that weekend. SIGH!!
Perhaps I should start dropping some hints now.....

Yep - great pedal. Although unlike @Dood I sold mine (2 actually, running a stereo pedal board at the time) when I got a Helix. Like he says above, it's capable of so much more than just the default setting. But it's also a great unit if used simply in the default setting too..

Anyone have one of the Tony Franklin Fenders? I have no idea who he is, but his fretless PJ looks sweet.
If you want try one, Bass Direct have a s/h one in stock:

I wonder if anybody has ever actually taken a woodworking plane to a Ric' body, to create a "Fender style" forearm relief? 😲
edit: It would have to be an unbound body of course - otherwise that'd be gross.
I wonder why Rickenbacker don't do it anyway?
