  5. I'm sold on the benefits of short scale. I love them so much I've ended up several of them. Flat wounds on the passive ones and round wounds on the active one sound great.
  6. This really is a bargain, someone has to be interested! They have great tone, they're so well balanced and the neck on mine is great.
  7. I have a Bronco that I picked up on BC. I asked Jamie from At The Creamery, to wind me a pickup (reasonable price too, I think it was under £60) and it sounds great. The Bronco has become my go to bass when I'm worried about the travel conditions. It was a drop-in pickup and I rest my thumb on the top of the pick up too.
  8. I didn't know much about ACG basses until I saw comments and reviews on BC. I think I'm going to be really pleased, it's up against my Spector Shorty, so it does have some competition, although this one is passive.
  9. I decided I needed a Christmas present "from me", "to me". And as I am really enjoying my short scale bases at the moment, I asked Alan from ACG to build me something. Looking at his workshop blog, you can see my border revier is taking shape. Not sure I can wait for Christmas now. http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/workshop-blog/
  10. These are incredible, I'd be interested if I didn't already own Shorty #37.
