  1. Bought new from GAK a couple of years ago, un gigged and little use, strung with d'addario chrome flats and fitted with East J retro circuit . Tried out in the Brighton shop against some higher end jazz basses and it was a lot better than some twice the price or more. Fender details Tap into that classic Jazz Bass sound Equipped with two single coil Fender Jazz bass pickups, this guitar offers all of the clarity and punch that you would want out of a bass and more. Melt into the mix with grumbling lows, crisp mids and open highs that produce a truly unique tone that has been reimagined through decades of Fender innovation – and accessed by dozens of legendary bass guitarists. The innovative wiring and magnets within these pickups provide for an expressive voice that is extremely well-defined and responds to the dynamics of your playing, no matter what your style is. Industry standard craftmanship This Squier Jazz Bass’ body is crafted from poplar, delivering a high frequency response as well as an overall light tonal contribution with sparkling highs. Poplar is a soft tonewood, therefore it offers a mellowed sound with warm lows to juxtapose the pick ups and create a perfect harmonic balance. The guitar itself is also lightweight thanks to the selection of poplar wood, providing a comfortable experience that can carry you all the way through the night With a maple constructed neck, you’ll be guaranteed a bright sound with plenty of twang, as well as excellent levels of resonance and sustain. Paired with a laurel fingerboard which will offer a smooth playability and high-quality physical feel beneath your fingertips in addition to a glorious amount of tonal warmth and depth. What’s more, the locking bridge works with the tuning pegs to help you stay in tune for longer, no matter how intense things get A definitive bass look So often described as the first choice for many bassists across the globe, this retro inspired aesthetic will have you standing out in any crowd. The space-age metallic blue body and matching headstock blends seamlessly with the exposed wood of the neck, as well as the cream pickguard, to achieve a timeless visual appearance. 2. Very little use since purchase, gigged once. Finding that my two 10 does everything I need, anything bigger a back line is normally provided. No marks to tolex etc, but slight shrinkage/lift on rear seem. Happy to post
  3. I think my ratio of great squiers is higher than great fenders so far. But a £400 squier is never going to be worth more than £400 , or is this now the price of a very good bass ?

    Feedback for ikay

I bought an audere pre amp off Ian, unbelievably quick postage and response to wanted ad. Cheers.
  5. Bought a laney digbeth pedal off Bill, turned up promptly and as described. And also well packed
  6. Can’t remember if mine was a combo head or just a head without a carpeted sleeve. I made this about 4 years ago. Part glued and screwed wood sleeve with aluminium over the top. Everything is recessed enough to be out of harms way. I have a AH350 that I’ll probably do the same thing with when I get it fixed
  7. Oh god my dream bass, if only someone would buy my G&L
  8. Bump, want one with block inlays instead bass direct will charge you £1400 for a 2019 model.
  9. hipshot kickass bridge, originally gold but this has now faded a little. There is a mark as shown across the back of the bridge. £45 posted mainland UK

  12. Yes unbelievable quality compared to some fender models and made in Fullerton. But no love.
  13. 2019 G&L USA JB bass in crimson red, bought from bass direct earlier this year. Unmarked apart a paint scratch/ chip on the top edge of body, not really visible from front when playing. Hands down best put together jazz bass I’ve ever owned, just a little to modern sounding for me. Choice of tort or white scratch plate. Not really looking for trades. One owner before me, not gigged but dropped by previous owner £750 ovno plus postage. Comes with G&L soft case and paperwork. I originally tried touching in the paint chip with metallic nail varnish, but I'm sure it could be an easy repair with the correct shade. 4.5 kg in weight
  14. Hi Yes still available.
  15. According to my bathroom scales 4.5 kg which is light for a G&L or so I'm lead to believe
  16. Looks wise that colour with a tort guard is a winner ☺️
