Here's my Spector collection all brought on by a punt of a purchase for a Specto Legend thru neck on Ebay it was end of line clearance brand new and cost me £238. I was playing Musicman at the time a Bongo, Sterling, Sterling 5, and 6 string Silhouette bass. Plugged this little babe in and I was in love, where have they been all my life?. I have had quite few over the years, from Fender to Musicman and Rickebackers and Ovation and Shergold and countless others and now these. They won't be playing out jus home recording at the mo.

Hello All Been lurking around here for some time, but joined a few months ago to sell a few things. Over the course of my playing life which started when i was 15, i have had a Columbus Precision, a Tokai Jazz Bass, a Shergold Marathon 4, 3 Shergold 6s, a Fender Precision Lite, a Rickenbacker 4001, 3 Rickenbacker 4003s, a Musicman Stingray, a Musicman Sterling, 2 Ovation Magum 1s and an Ovation Magnum 3,G&L L2000 and a multitude of others inbetween. Currently my babies are a Musicman Bongo 4 HH [The best all round recording bass]. And coincidentally for sale here at the mo. A Spector Forte Helium, a Spector Rebop 5 , a Spector Q6, a Spector Custom 4.......you can see a pattern here.? I have retired from gigging and just record for personal pleasure at home. I was the former bass player for Peter Hook in the Factory Records band Revenge, hence the Shergolds, we owned 5 out of the original 95 made between us. i,m always on the lookout for the perfect bass with the perfect sound and at the moment the Spectors have it, i love a nice dirty sound. Would one day love to own a WAl. Have used loads of different amps over the years my favourite being a Vox v125 overdriven with a Rickenbacker 4003. Current home use amp is a TC 200w BG250 Combo with a Ashdown2x12 extension cb and a Variax bass Pod pedal. Thats me. Oh yeah married and working at Manchester Airport, and a mad Parsons Russell Terrier.

I,ve just bought a Rebop 5 from Thomann and apart from the extremely slow service (ordered thurs at 0900,arrived 8 days later a day to process 4 days in German postal office a couple of days with Parcelfarce 24 express (i never use this lot they are expensive and usually 3 days for 24 hour delivery). And its nearly 300 quid less than U.K prices. Anyway the bass is out there straight out of the box it growls and oozes quality, its light and beautifully put together almost as good as my Forte 4. bris

Well I eventually accepted £110 quid off which means thy made no money on the bass, and I got a serious noise machine with a little scratch on it. Result Bris

Thanks chaps ive sent them a counter offer of 150 quid off, lets see how it goes. Incidently it makes a great noise those coil taps are really brutal.

Ive got a legend custom ( through neck ) and it is gorgeous growls like hell, really well made better than some of the so called superior U S models.

Have just aquired one of these in lovely gold bullion colour from DV247. However when it eventually arrived from Germany( not Romford) it has 3 highly visible dents on the top. Question is do i refuse or go for a reduction.? DV have offered me 50 quid off.
