Hi,
can anyone recommend a good reverb pedal for bass? Budget up to £150 new or used. Would prefer something that has a name closely related to its function and that doesn’t look like a child made it (I’m funny like that).
cheers

Having given up on bands for a bit I’ve decided to focus on fretless playing and now only have an unlined fretless.
Im actually enjoying practicing scales and chords up and down the neck against drones to get my intonation in. So far pretty good up to 10th fret. Surprising what a différence headphones make. With headphones on my intonation seems much better than playing through a cab! I probably need to turn the headphones down a bit.

My line 6 bass pod has died. I have a small pedalboard I’ve put together recently but I’m not that thrilled with it and it’s a mess. I’ve been looking around at available multi effects units and there seem to be a few second hand line 6 m series out there.
Would be good to hear others experience of them on bass. I’m mainly interested in compression, chorus, reverb and octave effects. I don’t want a unit with amp or cab sim and think I would actually prefer one without. I think the cost of a decent compressor and reverb pedal would be getting on for £200 and I’m not too keen on my chorus as it it’s noisy so please don’t suggest separate pedals.
anyway thoughts appreciated.
cheers

Thanks chaps. Probably should have given a budget! Not really looking to spend more than say £300 so I think that probably rules out the suggestions so far.

I’ve decided to take a break from bands and concentrate on developing my fretless skills. As a result I’ve sold my fretted bass and my much loved Vanderkley 210LNT which was the best sounding cab I’ve ever had - but too much for home use only.
can anyone recommend a small cab for home use that has similar full range frequency response? I loved the sound of that Vanderkley but I want something small like a 110 or smaller really.
any recommendations?

Hi. I know that's an old post but I'm going to do the same mod on the same bass (also same color palette...) and I wanted to hear the samples but it looks like the link ha expired... Is there a chance i can hear those saples? Thanks in advance
Hi, sorry they’re long gone. In the end I fitted the Delano Hybrid pickup with a jazz neck pickup and a sonar 2 pre. I think what I was really missing was the neck pickup/middle position tones. It’s been a fantastic, versatile covers bass bit I’ve recently sold it to another member on here.

Any interest in a trade for a RS210
plus cash your way? Thanks Matt
Hi Matt,
if it was a 110 it might have been a possibility as I’m getting rid of everything except a minimalist home practice rig. No need for a 210 I’m afraid.
cheers,

You’ve probably found these web pages already but just in case -
It looks very similar to the combos currently on the Hiwatt website-
http://www.hiwatt.co.uk/shop/bulldog-series
might be worth an email for some info?
Bass gallery have what could be a 60w one for over £300 -

I’m now bandless again and I’ve decided to thin out all my bass gear to just my fretless and a small practice combo with tuner, compression, some effects, stereo aux in and stereo headphones out. I want to just have a bass, a cable and an amp.
Top of the (pretty short) list seems to be the Boss Katana 110.
Can anyone confirm if the aux into phones out is in stereo (i.e. a different signal to each side) rather than mono? I’ll be using it a lot to jam along to backing tracks with headphones so will need this feature.
would be good to hear any other thoughts on this amp and any alternatives too.
thanks

No longer in a band and nothing on the horizon so sadly need to let this fantastic cab go. It was up for sale a while ago but I withdrew it as I doubt I’ll ever own such a great cab again!
This is the 8 ohm version so it can be paired with another cab if preferred. I’ve done very loud rehearsals with this cab and a 350w head and it’s been awesome - beautifully clear, loud and punchy and a one handed lift.
Ive never gigged this cab and I don’t think the previous owner could have done either as it is in mint condition as is the branded cover.
£500 collected from mid Cornwall.
For a bit of petrol money I’d be happy to head east for an hour or two if that helps
Please don’t ask me to post this. If you want to send a box and arrange collection that could be doable.

Up for grabs is my Zoom R24 owned by me since new. Really versatile recorder that’s easy to use as a stand-alone multitrack or as an interface and control surface for DAW.
Excellent condition, with power supply, manual, CD (drivers etc) and in original packaging. I’ve also erased all my dodgy old recordings to save you the pain. It originally came with a Cubase LE download which is active on my PC so not available to transfer. I believe it also works with Reaper.
No longer in use so time to move it on.
UK postage included in price.

I fitted one of these to my squire jazz body -
It has side dots on the usual fret positions 3,5,7, etc. They’re on the note position not between them like a fretted neck. It didn’t come with a nut. Seems like a really good quality neck. I’ve been playing it with round wounds for over a year now and there’s not too much fretboard marking.
before this one I fitted the standard fender neck but I really disliked the colour of the fingerboard and wanted to try an unlined fingerboard. Turns out it’s not much different.
by the way it dropped straight in. I think the body is a classic vibe 70’s but not sure.

Oh nice. I used to live in Redruth but never managed to find a band down that way unfortunately. I did find two excellent repairers down there that I miss having available though - Tube N' Truss in St Dennis is where I used to take my vintage Marshall valve amp for servicing and repairs (I miss that thing) and I used to go to Julyan Wallis (him off of BBC's The Repair Shop) near Penzance for instrument setups, etc.
I used to work with a drummer in Truro, and while he might not be looking for another band he might know of others who are. I'll see if I can get in touch with him.
That’s great - thanks a lot 👍
