Any sample footage you can share?

Unedited clip here. Not taken from a good angle but it wasn’t taken by me. I’m at the back. Just about noticeable. As you can see, it was a bit cramped up there.
This was shot in normal mode, 4K 30fps. 10bit H.265

Dave, first of all, I'm sorry because I interrupted. My suggestion is because after I bought the B2 I could see how easy it would be to create and edit patches using software instead of using the extremely limited screen and buttons. The B1 Four and many other multi-effects pedals already have these tools that make our lives easier. Almost 72% of the world's cell phones don't use iOS, and luckily you can edit using your phone and don't have to worry about it.

Ok. I suppose you have all your devices (TV, cellphone, computer) with updates turned off.

I was sort of joking, and i hope you do get your editor as i can see it’s quite handy for those that want to do that sort of thing.
Although i have it and i expect to use it occasionally, it wouldn’t bother me one bit if the software didn’t exist. I’ve not really used editors with any of the devices that have them. I’m more hands on with the device.

Yes its rattles and no its not noisy. I don't have ZNR on any patch and I cannot hear noise on a good pair of headphones. However if you use extreme drives etc (which I don't) you may hear something that I don't.

Interesting. I’m sending mine back as i can’t believe it’s normal, but if i get another that does it I’ll live with it. It’s coming from inside behind the main board. I can’t be bothered to take that out and check.

In was going through the various pre amps and amps and noticed noise on all of them in their default state. I then tested my B1-four and that was about the same. None really deal breakers, and possible to fix even without the NR, but more than i ever heard with my Helix.

Hello, about app, I contacted Zoom about the B2 Four Android and Windows software, and there is no information on availability. We need to show our necessity, so if every B2 Four onwer contact them requesting it, we will have some change to edit our patches more easily.

    Ricardo

I have neither Android or can be bothered with Windows. So I’m good 😂

  5. I just noticed there is something rattling around inside my B2-four. Can someone give theirs a shake and let me know if its normal or not please.

Might have to send it back already.

  6. Just to finish the thread. I ended up going way over budget and getting the Zoom B2-Four. This works exactly as I wanted, bus powered so just the one cable, headphone on the device, which also receives the audio from my iPad, and although pricier than I was hoping for I was also looking for something like this for using with the band. So two birds with one stone etc.

  7. Only had a short play with my B2 but yeah, it’s noisy and does seem to need the ZNR, although maybe i just need to gain stage a bit better. This was also quite loud on good headphones which would reproduce the noise quite well. I’m  not sure I’d need it through an amp. Can’t try that out for 2 weeks.
I did find  the BDDI sounds a bit more solid compared to the B1-four’s version, but that might just be down to a few things.
I’ll definitely just use the BDDI for now, maybe in two slots. One for normal and one with a bit more drive. That way the tone won’t change much.

Do you mean it runs off USB C?

Yeah. The iphone or ipad powers it. No need to hook the PSU up. Both my latest devices have USB-C.  It even runs off a power bank, although ive not tested it fully like this.

  9. Mine turned up today. Very happy with it so far, but i haven’t plugged a bass in yet. Im really pleased it runs off bus power, works perfectly with my phone. The app might get more use that i first thought, at least for setting things up.

I like the fact that with the B2 Four, having 5 slots on each patch and the three footswitches, I can get everything I want on one patch! 😅

Yeah. That’s the attraction for me. BDDI on all the time and add others to taste as and when the song needs it.
I might create a separate patch for just one song. I normally use a 5 string as it needs low B and C#. Thinking I’ll just add the octave below in with the pedal and play higher.

  11. Just wanted to mention, this thread is the first time ive ever heard of Djent. I had to go and look it up. Even then it took me a few mins to figure out that it's a genre and not a brand lol.

  12. I’ll need to dig my old B1-Four out as i have a nice generic tone with just the right amount of drive programmed in for the type of songs I’m doing.
I can’t remember what i was using for OD, but it wasn’t from an amp sim. I remember at one stage i was using various BDDI’s and switching between them. I’ll probably not do that this time.

Awesome! Hope you like it. I had a wobble last week, but it is a really good unit TBF. A good middle ground between quality of sounds, flexibility and ease of operation I think. 👌

Cheers. Im still 50/50 whether i really need it, but as it’s cheaper than the BDDI i would have ended up getting, and covers my other need for an interface that works with my ipad for home practice (covered in another thread) it seems a reasonable price to pay.

This is the MS-60B+ thread, the clue's in the title 😁

I'm planning on getting the MS-60B+ (as you were on Sunday evening apparently?) which is basically a cut down B2-4, in stomp box size, which will be easy to incorporate as part of a pedal board but maybe with a little midi pedal for live use.

No, i know what thread im in, but i was taking about getting B2 instead of the MS60+ in one post, and i got replies from that post.

The MS60+ seemed attractive at first, but for not a lot more the B2 offers more foot switches. If the  B1 four had another foot switch I’d probably keep with that.

im not incorporating it with anything else, so this will just be my only source of silly noises and self indulgence lol.

Yeah, similarly I guess I'm just going to have to get adept at editing on the pedal itself and, fingers crossed it won't be too painful!

I'm hopeful that this is going to be a decent step up in processing power/sound quality from my B1-4. I do love the compact form factor and combining with a little midi pedal may further enhance its live use.

I’ve lost track of all these threads and who’s getting what.  So you are getting the B2-four as well?

Spec wise I’d much prefer the new Boss one that came out recently, i especially like the battery option, but it looks bigger than i really want. It needs to fit in the front pocket of my gig bag.

As long as you've got iOS to program it with, or be prepared to spend hours knob twiddling.

Always prefer to get to know the unit as much as i can, so not interested in the software side that much. Never used it with Helix or other Xoom products.
I’ve always needed to tweak things at gigs so need to know how and do it quickly. I wouldn’t bother with any app in a live situation.
I’m pretty quick at picking these things up. I’d be up and running quickly as my needs aren’t too much, plus i already know what i need. Just a few effects with a BDDI running before them.
