How much would postage be please?
approximately… -
I think Mex stuff these is as good as o need it to be, at a premium price band, but still not as premium as the US and CS models. I get that they’re objectively a bit better, but not by enough … in my humble opinion

About 6 months ago I was playing in the Vintage, Wellington which is a decent music pub with densely packed and usually inebriated audiences. Anyone who has played there will know there is little delineation between the stage and the audience. One young woman, tall, willowy attractive but very drunk came up behind me an wrapped her arms round mine whilst I was playing and started a conversation about which songs she wanted. It's remakably difficult to go on playing and singing with 6 feet of drunken young woman draped over you with your arms pinned to your side. In the end her boyfriend who clearly though it was hilarious came up and politely asked if I would like him to take her away. What is the etiquette in this situation?
Thank him, would be my vote. He feels appreciated and probably grateful his GF didn’t get shown up more than she managed for herself

@TKenrick buy it and say that you bought it on my behalf, that I’ll be collecting “next Tuesday” and that I said you could QC it for me in the meantime, and that you offered this selflessly as you’d hate for me to have a wasted journey from the Hebrides

I have one of these and it’s very good. I don’t fiddle with the controls much, tending to leave it in passive mode in the usual 60:40 jazz pup mix but I do like the string spacing

I'm guessing the Gibson is neck thru Daryl ?
I do fancy a white one. Saw the Gene Simmons one for sale in local shop few mths back and was sorely tempted but black basses don't work in a Glam band.
Dave

It came up (if you’ll pardon the pun) in my law degree as an example of a patentable second use.

Thanks Obrienp,
I'm not sure those guitars were properly mixed. Those guys were constantly tuning between songs.
I mentioned this before. We had an hour break between sets . It was heaven to have an air conditioned trailer.
Daryl
Yes good bass solo, Daryl. Thought the lady singing could have been mixed a bit higher.

Ok, I thought with the combination of playing a Telecaster body style bass and usind a pick I could trick people into thinking I was some sort of groovy guitarist. Lol

Huh? Isn’t that an oxymoron? 🧐like “thoughtful politician”

If I told you how much I sold my 76 for in 2000 (With a trace elliot 7215SM combo) you’d cry. Wish I could affford this - but life’s got a bit iffy (already disabled out of the workforce and Wifey has just been diagnosed with ME and will be joining me). I loved my 76.. it was fantastic. Free bump and GLWTS
I do have some advice on the partner has ME thing if you want it

I would say that The Electric Bass Guitar is a Whatever-You-Want-it-to-Be Instrument!
Original purpose is irrelevant; after all, Viagra wasn't invented as "support instrument" either...

Hi Dave,
The Electric Bass Guitar is a support instrument. Sure, you can take a solo but I don't think that was what it's original purpose was.
Daryl
I analogise it to the tuba

My open mic was cancelled as the pub changed hands
the hostess didn’t post that it was on, but often doesn’t as she has a fairly loyal following, so I went anyway
two very drunk regulars told me I was “out of luck for playing my guitar”. 🤮
When I’d finished beating them both around the head with a sire v7….-

Mine fairly supportive but she doesn’t get involved. As long as it’s kept fairly clean and doesn’t take up too much space she’s fairly happy. However I don’t buy much and anything I buy and don’t like I sell for same that I paid or more money
