You know you can still play both Basically, I'm a guitar player but I picked up bass around 7 years ago, and now I can say I am both a guitar and a bass player (fingerstyle!). Ok it's more expensive, but it's so much fun. So please, keep your Fender amp. Or just keep a bit of money for a Fender Super Champ XD

Mine was a 4s Stagg, P/J config, sunburst finish. It served me well, only thing is I was (and still am) a guitar player so I used to play it with a pick and all my bass lines were like guitar lines. Now, I'm still a guitar player but I learned how to play fingerstyle and compose proper bass lines The bass itself was not that bad, it was just ok for its price (around £130). When I replaced it with an active Ibanez BTB400 though, well... my bandmates said "now you're talking"

You know, this very slight chorus that just makes the sound sweeter but which you only notice when you turn it off... well it can do that very well! (as well as those Jaco sounds)
