Lovely! I’ve loosely GASed for one of these for a while now. I’d imagine the dings on the neck/headstock are part of the roadworn treatment...and if not, who cares?
Good point re roadworn.
Andertons in Guildford. They are brilliant. Used them since the 80s. Great customer service - always happy to help.

Evening
Well, I finally pulled the trigger on one of these. Rather like it! Just a quick question if you've got one of these, too: are the marks on the side of the fingerboard part of the roadworness or are a later addition? e grateful for your thoughts.
It didn't come with a case. Should it have done?

Nice bass! How much does it weigh, please?

Nine years ago I was given the score for Madness' musical 'Our House'. And a bass.

Customer since 1984. Used to be local. Always been fantastic. Will drive up from Brighton to visit.
And they have a loo!

Same for me; it's a bit disappointing to see that they're merging the VM & CV lines but keeping them all under the Classic Vibe banner. The Matt Freeman P Bass is made by the same factory as the CVs and the neck on mine is probably the best I've played. I'll definitely give them a look when they come out but I doubt I'll be buying. Andertons has them for pre-order with delivery expected in March.
+1. I have a Matt Freeman bass and any other neck doesn't feel as good. Awesome value for money when these and the CVs came out. It's not going anywhere. (The other bass has long gone...)

I was initially very excited by this. But now not sure as the Chinese made CVs etc. were exceptional. The necks, for instance, were better than some USA made Fenders. Wonder when they will be out?

Thanks for posting this, Klaus is one of my favourite players.
Legend. Klaus Voorman here defining P bass cool.
Klaus was perfect ...
+1 or is that +3? He is one of my favourite bassists. Nothing flash but serves the song. Great sound. Especially like his bass playing on Plastic Ono Band.
Love his bass, too.

Lee Sklar - brilliant!

There’s a Ghost in my House. Great song and neat baseline.

They were great at the Brighton Centre last week. Great tonight. Bedder’s Bass is clearer tonight. Bit muddy at the show but we were sitting on the sides.

Got one of these. They are amazing. The only bass I will never let go. The finish imo is better than way more expensive basses esp the neck.

Don't have scales in the house. ☹️
-
It's the lightest bass I have. Would need to weigh using luggage scales.

These are lovely basses. Tried a few in GAK and Andertons. Great build. Sound good. Light. What’s not to like?

Thanks for the feedback. The E and A strings are also damaged (sharp) near where the ding is. Attached better pic. It's superficial (doesn't stop me playing it) but bothering me. Silly, eh, on a roadworn bass!
