Cheers for the offer too that could be a shout, i work away quite a lot so time spent in cardiff is pretty minimal atm! I live in Riverside though, is that close to you?
Im just outside in Tongwynlais - 15 mins or so on the bus from the centre. Away in Norway until next week, but PM me to let me know when you're about and maybe we can sort something out.

Ooooh - this is a good price for a Strymon -> https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/strymon-blue-sky-pedal-£160-4-months-old/1176910167 Rather tempted myself!

Just noticed that you're based in Cardiff - you're welcome to come and try my Hall of Fame if you fancy!

I have a TC Hall of Fame. Its ok, does the job i guess, just find it hard to get excited about. The spring model is pretty rubbish, but the plates are ok. Personally I don't think its very versatile - most of the different models sound the same to me. This could be because I'm used to using some decent quality plugins on the computer, or maybe because i tried a Strymon Big Sky once! Worth mentioning that I haven't played around with the TC tone print software - might well be that theres tons of good stuff to be found with a bit of tweaking!
11. I had to stand in on guitar for a gig once - only had my Ampeg Micro VR stack to play through, but when used together with my Line6 Pod HD it actually sounded pretty ok. Not a setup I'd be using if I was a gigging guitarist, but worked fine for me for a one off.
12. Lovely bass. Had a blue P version - light weight, sounded great and played really nicely. GLWTS!
13. Do like those Aerodynes - and that black one you have for sale is lovely. This bass was sold several months ago - ended up selling it via gumtree as I didn't get any luck here. Completely forgot that this thread was still open, sorry!
14. Oh, and you can load drum loops into a looper pedal if you want to keep the laptop at arms length!
15. Ped - the most 'real' sounding kits are going to require a computer - I own Native Instruments Komplete which has some pretty good drum libraries in it. Theres also things like Superior Drummer https://www.toontrack.com/product/superior-drummer-2/ which gets lots of good reviews. If you want a stand alone drum machine based on acoustic drum samples, most have been around a while, and haven't aged well to be honest. People still swear by the Alesis of course, and Roland has the Boss DR-880 which doesn't sound too bad to me, although the new price on the DR-880 is a bit steep - can get good deals second hand though. If you are prepared to put a bit more work in, a second hand MPC1000 will allow you to load in some pretty decent sample libraries. By far the simplest solution for practicing though is drum loops. Cheap, sound great and most modern DAWs will allow you to change the tempo a fair bit without making them sound too crappy. Loop Loft often have sales on, and generally sound pretty good. http://www.thelooploft.com/collections/rock-loops
16. So jealous! Fancied one of those for ages - even more so now since they've added all the probability trigs, new machines and stuff. Let us know how you get on with it.
17. Brilliant cab - this was mine before Andy bought it from me. Lovely chap and awesome sounding cab - buy with confidence!
18. Im afraid we don't have any scales to weigh the thing properly, but it feels a bit lighter than my Mexican P bass if thats of any help. To share the answers to other questions I got via PM: its a 2008 model, and the neck has more of a jazz profile to it. Thanks for the interest and bumps!
19. SOLD! Thanks for all the interest everyone! ---- Up for sale is my very lovely blue Aerodyne P bass. P/J pickups, lovely fat warm sounds, with some added clarity from the J pup if needed. Great condition, lovely blue colour, crafted in Japan. Freshly strung with Fender flats (bought 2 weeks ago), and comes with a Fender gig bag. Collection from Cardiff preferred. £420 More photos here: http://www.23hq.com/.../album/22918332
20. Andy bought one of my Purple Chili cabs from me - lovely chap, very easy to deal with, and everything went as smoothly as its possible to go. Thanks very much Andy - hope you continue to enjoy the cab!
21. Thanks for the kind words Andy! Hope you continue to enjoy the cab!
22. Sisters of Mercy for me as well. Shame, cos they've written some brilliant stuff. Too young to have seen them in their original incarnation in the early 80s, but been to about 5 or so of their gigs since 1990, and they've all been rubbish! Why do i keep going?!!
23.
My USA P is that colour, amazing.
Jealous! Would have loved to have gotten one of those, but alas my budget just didn't stretch that far. Maybe that will be my next bass!
I've seen different models of Jaguar, with a P and a J pickup on Think these are Fender Modern Players I've been told that with the PJ arrangement, there's even more tone (as you'd think) - so does this one sound a little like a Jazz?
This one has 2 vintage jazz pickups, so can definitely sound quite jazzy. Its the deluxe version and has active electronics, plus you can run the pickups in series or parallel, so it can go loads of places a jazz couldn't normally.
Have another bump, as it really is a lovely colour, and to any prospective buyers - stega is a great guy to deal with Deal in confidence BC'ers
Thanks Marc!
