  1. I got this mic stand and boom arm for a project that never happened and have not used them - I’ve only unpacked them and set them up once at home. So, essentially these are as new, but just sitting around for a while. I’ll prefer to sell the mic stand and boom arm as a set and collection is essential as they’re large and heavy. I really want to get them out of the house to make space and I’m happy for a sensible offer to take them off my hands. Details here: https://www.thomann.de/gb/km_20811.htm https://www.thomann.de/gb/km_21231_schwenkarm.htm Mic stand and boom arm set £138. Reduced to £99 for a quick sale. Collection Only. Thank for looking, any questions do ask Please note that this is for sale elsewhere so might be withdrawn at any time.
  2. As New, only used a few times. Bought direct from Novation. Boxed with USB cable and plug (box has a few marks which is how it came). Extra additions includes a micro SD card, a third party ‘Pack’ from Sound Ghost called Waves, and 808 samples. Really fun groove box £259 inc UK mainland delivery (other destinations please contact me). Thank for looking, any questions do ask.
  3. Good luck with the sale Jez, hope it all work out well for you.

  5. Wow, that was great, truly inspirational. Thanks for sharing
  6. Thomastik Spirocore Light (Weich) double bass strings Classic jazz bass strings. The lights (Weich) are very easy to play and are easier to bow than the medium. Good info on the strings here: https://www.gollihurmusic.com/product/1459-THOMASTIK_SPIROCORE_UPRIGHT_BASS_STRINGS.html I put these on a bass to see if I wanted to have the bass set up for jazz or classical. I decided the bass was best for classical so took the strings off after a day. So essentially the stings are as new. £100 inc UK mainland postage (other areas please contact me me postage). Thanks very much for looking.
  7. Thanks, I've tried the Lott model and it's really nice - a classic English bass
  8. Bryant Double Bass Soloist Model Back up for sale is my Paul Bryant Double Bass, soloist model. Paul is well known for making fantastic double basses in the English/Italian style. I’ve been fortunate to commission and own 3 of his basses and each one has been amazing and a delight to play! Paul describes his soloist model as, “A great little bass, with classic Italian styling, good for Arco work, jazz, or general gigging. Compact and easy to transport, but with a big sound, a very versatile bass.” I’ve used this bass in all kinds of settings, big classical symphonies, chamber music, solo recitals, recordings, jazz groups of all sorts and music theatre/pit work and I’ve always been very happy with how great it sounds and plays. Also I’m amazed at how the bass holds up against others that are bigger and much more expensive. The particulars for this one are as follows: length of back: 43” string length: 41” rib depth: 8 1/2” (8 3/4’s at the widest point on the lower bout) upper bout: 20” lower bout: 25 1/2” varnish is red, golden, brown swell back of lightly flamed maple (most of Paul’s basses are flat back and plainer wood) sides of medium flame maple neck and scroll of highly flamed maple front of medium grained Sitka spruce comes with a certificate of authenticity In 2013 Paul valued the bass at £7000, so it would be a bit more by now. Sale price is £5500 (sorry no trades) Other Bryant basses and soloist models do come up for sale at lower prices but Paul made different levels of bass and this one is in the top of his range, Paul himself said that this bass was, ‘one of the better ones’. Also this particular bass has several more things going for it; swell back rather than flat (costs a lot more to make in the first place), much more flamed wood than is usual for a Bryant bass, it’s been played in a lot and the sound has really matured and improvement works by Malcolm Healey. The bass comes with a David Gage Realist pick up installed if you wish. You’re very welcome to come over and try the bass and any questions please do ask.
  9. In the New Year I shall be taking the bass to a dealer. In the meanwhile the price has been dropped to £13,000. A lot of money I know but a very reasonable price for the bass (and it’ll be much more form a dealer!) Thanks for looking
  10. I emailed EBS with the same question and got a great response, I'm sure it is fine to re-post here and may help others: "The FX Mix filter is a blend control between the Effects loop and the original tone, so if you run a backingtrack through the loop, it will balance the output between what you put in the loop and what you play. 100% will make you only hear the backtracks, 50% will give you a 50/50 balance between bass and tracks, and so on. So, find a balance and then turn up the master output if needed is my advice. If you run effects through the loop, this makes more sense, since then you can preserve some of the original tone for more low end if using effects that steal some of the bottom. In that case, you also feed the effects with the Effect Send, so the Return signal also contain some of your bass tone but with the effects." Thanks to EBS for being a great company with exemplary customer service.
  11. Hello I have a question for all you EBS Microbass II users. I’ve just got the pedal after wanting one for years and love the sound and quality. I tried it out jamming to a backing track from my laptop going into the FX returns and playing my bass with headphones. When I turned up the FX mix control to get more volume form my laptop it turned the bass level down. Is this normal? I did manage to balance everything so it was all ok but it just seems a bit of an odd way round to wire it. I was expecting the FX mix control to simple add in more or less of whatever was plugged into the FX return, be it a FX pedal or aux signal, without effecting the bass level. Thanks
  12. Bump this really is in as new condition and now £450 below the price when new
