1. I had a Carbon Copy and loved it. Then I got a Line 6 M9 and A-B'd the "Analog Delay w/Mod" model in it against the Carbon Copy and couldn't hear a difference at all, even the degradation of the repetitions sounded alike. So I sold it. Now I'm back to single pedals though, and if I need a delay again I'll get the same one. Aqua Puss is bigger and I use a Pedaltrain Mini so...
2.
I prefer the SynthWah for that sound. And it's a LOT of fun on guitar too! (for guitar I prefer the bass synth wah over the guitar synth wah, actually). I had the SYB5 too -but ended up selling it- and it is an entirely different beast, definitely a lot more "synthy" than the SynthWah, which combines envelope filter with octave effect and synth. I found the SynthWah more musical, and would be my choice for Deeper Underground.
What setting did you use, I'm guessing Synth 2? Is there a way to control the speed of the filter sweep?
3. This is now on hold for a couple of weeks at least but still PM me if interested.
4. I'm looking for a pedal that does that kind of sound: electronic sounding buzzy synth with barely any envelope filter going on (or none at all). I have the EHX Bass Micro Synth but I'm not getting this sound from it... It always sounds too analogue and normal fuzz-like... I'd like something sounding more like shittier electronics lol... Which of these two would better do a digital buzzy synth with no envelope filter, allowing some control over the tone so I can cut the harshness if I have to?
5. Going on eBay beginning of next week...
6. Selling my Bass Micro Synth, love it but never had a live use for it, so never really left the house. In excellent condition and full working order. The top is pretty much as new, there's only a tiny bit of paint knocked off on the side which I covered with a white sticker as you can see on the picture. Boxed with all original contents (9v power supply, manual, warranty card, sample DVD). In addition, I'm including an isolator cable which James Kitchen at Diago custom-made for me with a right angle plug to save board space. Although this pedal takes 9v, it can't be daisy-chained because the ground polarity is opposite to most pedals. It needs its own power supply (included) but with the isolator cable between the pedal and the daisy-chain, it CAN be daisy-chained. So you don't need to use the original power supply, you save space and your pedalboard weighs less. £140 for the pedal + £15 for the cable = £155 shipped total. PM if interested.
7. Can you recommend a good (and cheap) one?
8. .
9. Great price for the Micro Fuzz, I have one and it's the best fuzz I ever played with. Any idea what the mid switch does on the new one?
10.
Really? odd mine works fine with just the standard Diago daisy chain. Does this mean mines going to blow up soon?
Possibly. From their instructions ( http://www.ehx.com/p...er/instructions ): IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: The Micro Synth will not work with the same power adaptor that is daisy chained to other pedals in its signal chain. Please run the Micro Synth off of its own power adapter. 9V Power Jack - Connect the plug from the supplied 9VDC AC Adapter to the 9V power jack. Do not use a power supply that is daisy chained to other pedals in the signal chain. WARNING: Your Bass Micro Synth comes equipped with an Electro-Harmonix 9.6DC-200BI power supply (same as used by Boss™ & Ibanez™ 9.6 Volts DC 200mA). Use only the adaptor supplied. Using the wrong adapter can cause serious bodily injury. Using the wrong adapter may also damage your unit and will void the warranty. In addition, do not use a daisy chained supply with the Micro Synth. The Micro Synth must have its own power supply. As I understand it, it has inverted ground compared to most pedals, so you need isolated outputs on your power supply or something like the GigRig Virtual Battery. The cable I'm including is basically the same, except taking a lot less space.
11. Looking for an MXR Bass Envelope Filter and MXR Bass Octave Deluxe (need to be mint or close). The EBS is the true bypass version and is in mint condition, the EHX is the new compact version and has a tiny bit of paint missing on the side. I also have a right-angle adapter cable custom-made by James Kitchen at Diago that allows daisy chaining the EHX. PM if interested.
12. Try this and a pick: http://www.sfxsound.co.uk/mainpage.asp?page=micro_fuzz
13.
"Analogue watts" gah. 300w might be a bit underpowered I reckon, think another member had troubles with his Sansamp amp clipping.
Yeah I have a 350w SWR amp and I find it lacking often, wouldn't buy less than 500 today, unless if we're talking all valve of course... Analog watts, lol, they just invented a new kind of watts. Let's hope they mean RMS by the way

15.
Other than that, your best bet is the POD, but you'd be recording it effected anyway so your end result would be the same.
If using POD Farm with POD Studio (or with iLok and another audio interface instead), you can monitor effected and record dry.
16.
Hi, Im currently running ProTools LE on a fairly decent windows computer. I recently recorded a composition which had around 15 tracks on it and my computer handled this fine. I had about 6 tracks of guitar and bass, and with me only having limited gear, I use amplitube LE as an amp modeller and for the effects at hand, with excellent results. Apart from my computer gets loads of low memory errors when there is more than 5 tracks loaded with amplitube. I mainly use the amp modelling by the way and then some distortion or chorus My idea was that, If i have some hardware that can do what amplitube does for me with sound recording quality, then my computer wont ever have to struggle. Im aware of POD's, and ive used a zoom b2.1u (which was fantastic live but some patches were quite noisy when recording DI) What would you recommend I look into buying for a zero noise amp modeller/multifx for use with guitar AND bass? Cheers
Amplitube is known for being a system hog. Personally I'm enjoying Guitar Rig at the moment. I have POD Farm Platinum but I find it consumes too much time as it has too many not so great options to choose from, while Guitar Rig has less but better. POD Farm's advantage though, is the models are stored in the interface (POD Studio or Toneport) which I believe therefore does most of the processing leaving your computer RAM unaffected (I may be wrong). Also, if you monitor your recording through POD Farm standalone and not through your DAW, you're recording with zero latency. And POD Farm 2 let's you load modules instead of the whole thing as plugins, so for example if you just want an amp and a distortion pedal, you just load the amps module and the distortions module, instead of having to load POD Farm 2 with all other models that come with it. If your main problem is system performance, I suppose POD Farm 2 would be a good option because of the modules. I wouldn't get their interfaces though, they're a bit s*it, you can buy it with iLock instead.
17. Wow man, good to know it arrived ok and you're that happy with it
18. I had the BF-2B as well, it's ok. Also used to have a Rocktron Flanger which was great because it had a mix knob, but it was overall a bit subtle. I find flanger very tricky to get right on bass, FWIW over a few years the ones I found to work best were in Line 6 POD Farm and now in the M9...
19. Pictures added.
20. This has been my fuzz of choice for 3 years, and was chosen after trying many, many other fuzzes for many months. Lived very happily with it for all this time but now I need a different flavour for a new project so this one is going (I don't like to keep 2 pedals of the same type). This is an extremely versatile pedal, analog, goes from Fuzz Face to Big Muff thanks to the Color knob, and has the addition of Gate and Resonance knobs for some quite unique tones (plus the usual Gain, Volume and Tone knobs). Works fine with active basses as well as passive. It's in mint condition apart from a couple of scratches on the side (2nd photo), and it's in full working order. Box and instructions all in excellent condition too. I've been the only owner as I found it new in an obscure French online shop long after it had been discontinued. I find this pedal has more definition than most fuzzes out there so if fast notes getting muddled up is something that bothers you when using a fuzz I strongly advise you go for this. I used it mainly for a Death From Above 1979 kind of project and combined with a chorus it nailed the tone pretty well. It also has excellent dynamics. £69 posted. SOLD
21. Bought a 25kohm VPJR from him. Great to deal with, took photos on request and sent Special Delivery which was more than I expected. Many thanks, recommended!
22. As seen here. As new, boxed, only used a few times at home. Cheap alternative to Ernie Ball 25kohm volume pedal or Line 6 EX-1. £17 shipped
23.
The Iron Ether Oxide Fuzz is truly fantastic. As are Earthbound Audio pedals - http://earthboundaudio.blogspot.com/
Yeah I've read a lot about the Supercollider. Probably great but I feel uneasy about buying a pedal from abroad due to the expense it will be to return it if I'm not happy...
