1. Yeah.. I'm pretty sure it's the bass from a previous ad and it was bought between three for a band.. I think he's looking for a quick sale to finance another purchase. Don't shoot the messenge! Just trying to make the whole world use Musicmans..
2. This isn't mine but saw the ad whilst windowshopping on Gumtree and thought somebody might like to get themselves a bargain! http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/musicman-stingray-5-p-string-ebony-bass-guitar-whardshell-case/1038666425
3. Anybody know a good website to get high quality straps? I'm envious of anyone that doesn't have a terrible guitar village one such as I.. Nice leather would be handy.. Thanks!
4.
I was sat in a class room at college with maybe 5 or 6 others (all really good players), the guy told us this and we all just sat there looking at each other thinking wow, that's so easy to remember !
My lecturer gave us the same tip! Wasn't Franc O Shea by any chance?
5. Always reference the key you are playing in, the general rule of thumb is not to combine sharps and flats but again some people choose to (such as modes formulae)
6. Man who sold the world unison line is ascending Mixolydian (In F I think but haven't gigged it in forever!)
7. Hello.. I have to play these two on friday and being the band whore I am, have no time to check out these tracks before I have to play them.. Does anybody have a chord chart or transcription for these? (Nina Simone for MBJCFM and the original Blue Moon by Richard Rogers) Cheers!
8. Hello.. Looking for an online resource of Latin Standards (I know there is a Latin Real book.. It's on the Christmas List!) Anybody know of any? Thanks..
9. Hello.. Wondering if anybody knows of an online resource for chord charts and transcriptions (popular songs, jazz, latin etc) P.s Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.. Couldn't find one which seemed apt! Thanks
10. Hello.. Constantly buzzing around friends for advice on gear so thought I'd sign up here! Living in Brighton studying Bass on a music course, play in a Latin, a funk and a hip hop band Cheers!
11. Hello.. I need (want) an octave pedal! What I really want is something with a nice rounded sub sound but also interested in one that has the option to go up the octave aswell? I remember a guy telling me Pino had one for the stuff with Paul Young.. Cheers!
12. Hello.. Just looking for a bit of advice really.. I've been a four string pureist since I started playing however the time has come for me to branch out.. I'd really like a nice decent but cheap and giggable 5 string.. The main problem I've had with the 5 Strings I've tried (couple of Fender Squier V's and a Yamaha) is the string spacing is so small.. I'm use to playing a Stingray which has a hefty neck on it compared to the Fenders. What I'd really love is a Six String (becoming more and more of an Anthony Jackson addict every day at the moment) but I realise that for £300 that is probably quite a tall order! Any ideas on cheap tidy 5 Strings? (Or Sixes if they're around!) Cheers!
