Hello all - have any of you folks ever replaced a hard switch button with a soft switch on a pedal?
If anyone has, what type of soft switch did you buy and where did you buy it? -

I live in the other side of the earth, joined BassChat only to hunt a T-16.
Like a few other folks here, I emailed Cog and was ignored so I bought an MXR M280 which is actually pretty great.

You have to I guess adapt what you’re doing?Michael Manring used a Musicman Stingray in his early days, before he started using Zon basses.
@ambientI’m too reliant on the low B and high C nowadays 😃

As my university tutor said, it’s how you play.
You’ll see a Fender Jazz being used in rock bands, funk, jazz, CW, blues.
I’ve seen fretless bass used in metal.
I agree to a degree... but I'm not sure you could do a lot of what you and I do with a Fender Jazz

Just found this thread after searching for a T-16 - what a pity that it looks like Cog aren’t going to be continuing.

Im suprised that this hasnt hadnt had more interest. The price is subjective of course but ive played a few of these and they are the real deal 5 string jazz basses.
I'm surprised too and I think the price is on point - I've owned a couple of 4-string versions and a 5-string also - I think they're excellent basses - I would definitely buy this if I wasn't playing only 6-string bass nowadays - thanks @ambient.
And despite seeing two for sale on basschat recently, they're actually very, very rare too - before now, I don't recall seeing an FMT Jazz available here for years.

Darkglass Electronics Alpha Omicron Bass Overdrive
There are some markers I put on with a felt tip - they'll come off with some rubbing alcohol but I don't have any at the moment.

I would go with an Eich BC112 from what you’re describing.

Thanks, I'm really excited for her to arrive so I can start getting to know her! A lot of stars unexpectedly aligned to make this build possible, and I've got very high hopes!
It'll be sometime between Jan and March, depending on Fodera's build schedule, and yes, I'll be sharing pictures and some sound clips once she's here!
Ben
What a great specification - I’m excited to see this when it’s ready.
I have a relatively similarish Fodera myself - a 33” scale Emperor 6 Elite and the B is thunderous - I was a little nervous about buying a 33” scale initially considering the B but it’s amazing …I’d really like to play the Tony Grey 6 which is 30.75” scale to see how good the B is.-

Welcome to The 5er Club Lozz.
My advice would be to put away all your 4 string basses - the temptation to pick up what you're familiar with will slow you gelling with the 5er. Expect it to take "some time" to become familiar with the 5er - it may feel like you're going backwards for a while but if you persevere you'll get there.
Very good advice. I actually ended up selling all my 4s so I couldn’t do anything but play my 6er!
