1. Check this out: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=48813 The warwick rig you're looking at for £500. Except the cab is the WCA 411 pro so its the better of the 410's that warwick do. There would obviously be delivery on top to Ireland, unless you fancied a road trip to Wales. Let me know if you are interested. Chris.
2. Thanks for the replies so far, keep em coming.
3. The combo is now for sale on ebay. Go check it out and grab a bargain - theres quite a few people watching it.
4. Price drop to £500! This is a total bargain. The cab alone is worth £429 from the Bass Merchant and is in as new condition!
5. I've spoken to my bro about this again and have some more details for you. The cab is the 16ohm celestion vintage 30 version - the better version. Adding the extension cab gives it a tighter bass response. The amp has brand new power tubes - jj kt77's (they are about 2 weeks old). The new tubes also give tighter bass with smoother mids and highs. He would also include the original tubes to be swapped back in if prefered (no biasing required). To buy the combo and extension cab new you'd be looking at £800 - £900. As both are in virtually perfect condition he'd be looking for between £600 - £700. Oh, and we are based in Bridgend, South Wales. Easy to get to on the M4.

7. Cheers for your list RussFM.
What's your MySpace?
We've recently had some line up changes and changed the name and everything. The website isn't quite set up yet and we are planning on recording a demo to go on it in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know when its ready. Anyone else got any venue suggestions? I'm looking for gig venues over the whole UK.
8.
GAAAHHHH! WHERE FROM?!?! Ahem... [breathes deeply] ...the new RRP on those is £689. If they're still around for £349, I'm sorely tempted.
I know, I think I probably got one of the last ones at that price. I got it from Academy of Sound. They have a website: http://www.whatmusiciansneed.co.uk/acatalo...CFdUB4wodKXj4eg They also have an ebay store where you can get it cheaper - £379
9. What about the hartke LH1000? I bought mine new last week for £349. Its 1100 watts at 4 ohms!
10. There are quite a few good venues in Cardiff - Clwb Ifor Bach, Barfly, Buffalo Bar, 10ft Tall, the university union. theres more i'll try and remember them. There is a great new venue in Bridgend called Hobos which is very good and has quickly become established, I go down most weekends. Some venues in Newport - TJ's, Le Pub, Meze Lounge, Riverside Tavern. A bit further west you've got places in Neath and Swansea like The Duke, Sin City, Bar Co, Monkey Bar. A great venue to play is The Masons in Llanelli. Small but very friendly, we played there on Friday and it went really well. Good crowd and the owner is a really nice guy.
11. Hi, I'm going to be organising gigs for my band throughout the UK. We've stuck to the South Wales area for quite some time but want to expand everywhere. Can you give me a list of good venues near you. We play originals only, the sound has been described as similar to a mixture between tool and the smashing pumpkins with a bit of opeth, so a Jazz cafe would be unsuitable. If alot of people reply to this it could be a good reference for people who are looking for venues to play in areas unfamilier to them. Cheers for any help, Chris.
12. My band 'Flood the Skies' are playing in masons in llanelli fri 5th June. Its our first gig back since some lineup changes and a name change. Check out www.pokkuri.co.uk - this is our old site and has some music on it although we sound a bit different now (better). Come along if you fancy some FREE live music!
13. My Hartke LH1000 arrived yesterday which is the big brother to the LH500. I had a little play with it last night and it sounds really good and is very simple to use. From what I've heard the LH500 is just as good.
14. Yeah, thanks Johnny. I'm only getting rid of it cos I need the space. I think someone will get a bargain at this price - it cost me £489 when I bought it!!
15. Hi there I'm selling exactly what you are looking for - check out the for sale section. Heres the link: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=48813 It'll give you money left over from your budget too! I'm only selling it cos i've got GAS big style! As Chezz55 says you can get a lot of tonal variation using this set up.
16. Ha! Thats exactly what i'm buying! Thanks for the reply. Did you call them to get the lead thrown in?
17. Not sure if this is the right place to post this really but anyway... I'm gonna be buying a new amp today. The best price i've seen is with projectmusic on the internet. Has anyone dealt with them before? Were they any good? Thanks, Chris.
18. I havent tried any of the more expensive marshall gear but I have a basstate b65 1x12 combo for bedroom practice and like the tone I can get out of it.
19. Well my GAS got the better of me so I recently bought a Hartke LH1000 head an a Barefaced Big One cab, now I need space to put them so my other stuff has to go! Up for sale here we have my Warwick Profet 5.1 500w Head with 2U Stagg Flightcase and Warwick WCA 411 Pro 4x10 cab. Pics below. Warwick Profet 5.1 * Solid-state amp head, 500 watts RMS into 4 ohms, MOSFET, 19 inch, 2U * Extremely low-noise input section with gain control. * Gain control with clip LED . * Adjustable and switchable compressor. * Variable contour control . * Switches for deep and bright. * Controls for bass, low-mid, hi-mid and treble. * Phones jack, DI out with pre/post switch. . * Mute switch, master control. * Rear panel: groundlift switch, tuner out, line out (post master), effects loop, footswitch graphic EQ on/off. * Speaker out: 1 XLR, 1 high current speaker connector compatible with Switchcraft HPC and similar connectors. * Fan cooling (non-permanent). * Protections: short-circuit, HF oscillation, overheating, DC. * Weight: 27.5 lbs. / 12.5 kg * Depth: 14.76 in. / 375 mm I'm not sure you can buy this head new now as Warwick have released an upgraded version called the Warwick Profet 5.2 - the cheapest i've seen that going is £313 (there maybe cheaper out there but I couldn't find it). I'm gonna throw in the Stagg 2U Flight case I have for it free (unless the buyer doesn't want it). Its worth about £50 on its own. Warwick WCA 411 Pro 4x10 4ohm version This is a great cab, I'd keep it if I didnt need the money! I bought it from the Bass Merchant last year, its only been gigged about twice since then and only used for onstage sound as I was DI'd. The well established Warwick cabinets of the Pro Series respond with a warm, full sound while still maintaining focused and clarity. The connector dishes are equipped with two 1/4" sockets and two lockable NL-4 connectors. Plenty of bass with fast response and well defined mids. The adjustable HF horn provides a clear attack and brilliance. *Power rating: 600W (max. 800W) *4 ohms *106dB *4 x 10" speakers (power rating 150W, max. 200W, 16 ohms, 94dB, resonant frequency: 50Hz, frequency range: 35Hz-3500Hz) *HF horn with attenuator (power rating 30W, max. 40W, 8 ohms, 95dB, resonant frequency: 2,5kHz, frequency range: 1,2kHz-20kHz) *Bass reflex housing *Weight: 39 kg *Dimensions (W/H/D): 0,62 x 0,67 x 0,49 m *Removable wheels. This cab goes for £429 from the Bass Merchant. I am based in Bridgend, S.Wales if anyone wants to come and try it. I'd much rather they go together so lets say £450 for the lot collected. If I have to separate them it'd be £200 for the head collected and £300 for the cab collected. I WILL CONSIDER ALL OFFERS!
20. This is still for sale. Is there any interest? I paired this with an extension cab the other day and it sounded really good.
21. Ah theres a shame, I was gonna suggest my warwick head and cab that i'm gonna be looking to sell. Good luck with the selling the cabs! Chris.
