    I've owned both, and honestly the gap between the two is well and truly closed. A good Squier (VM series up) can stand toe to toe with the MIM equivalent. Try both, see which you like best. Buy it.

    I share lead vocals (make sense?) with my brother (guitarist) and I intentionally stick to basic bass lines on my tracks. Thankfully I get to noodle about a bit more on his.

    My only advice echoes everyone else - practice.

    That's excellent work.

    My only other suggestion would be to proactively push people through from your website to your Telesales guys when an item is 'available to order' rather than in stock.

    You would only need to change the messaging to 'Call us on 0800 XXX XXX to order' but then you could have a frank conversation about the realistic delivery times, switch sell customers to similar products if they aren't willing to wait and avoid the hassle of wiping a bunch of cancelled orders off your books. I'm pretty certain your conversion would be flat if not improved as a result, and it's a much improved experience for your customers.

    I didn't have a great experience last time I bought from G4M, granted for the most part it wasn't actually their fault (faulty amp, courier no-show, and then they couldn't get me a replacement as quickly as I could buy it new elsewhere) but the chap I dealt with made it easy for me to be frustrated :)

    All that said, I'm glad to hear a positive review!

    Bought a combo from GAK, had to send it back because it was faulty but had no problems doing so. I would use them again.

    The one 'watch out' with their website is they occasionally list items as 'available to order' when said items are long discontinued or out of production. The website will still let you complete a full order including payment on these items - my suggestion would be to call them if you see anything other than 'next day delivery' next to the item you want. Otherwise you'll be out of pocket and disappointed!

    It weighs 440g which is far too light for a tube amp unfortunately. The 15 watt Ashdown CTM15 weighs 5kg by comparison.

    This is definitely solid state.

    I believe these are the pickups used in all of the current US Standard Precisions, and they can be picked up (no pun intended) for about £80. Worth a punt because you can always re-sell them on here if you don't get on with them!
