1. Hi guys, I would like to introduce Tálamo, my new band. Tálamo is a post-rock band that was formed as a result if the need of the different members to explore new musical avenues after being part of numerous bands in different styles. We are happy to invite you all to listen to our music at: https://talamo.bandcamp.com/ and https://soundcloud.com/talamoband/ You can also visit our Facebook page and like us at: https://www.facebook.com/talamoband Any constructive criticism is welcome. Cheers, Antonio. ---------------------------------------------- Tálamo are: · Víctor (drums) · Javi (guitar) · Antonio (bass) · Quini (guitar) Thanks a lot to Celia Viñolo for her creativity, patience and her viola in Valhalla and Sergio Bech for lending us all the microphones to record the drums. All songs composed and recorded by Tálamo. Mixed and Mastered by Quini. Cover Art by Víctor.
2. I have decided to withdraw it. Thanks everyone for the interest!!
3. Yes. Send me a private message if you're interested.
4. Bump for the last lowering on the price: £1200
5. The specs on the linked page say it's 9.3 lbs
6. No one wants an amazing, exclusive bass by one of the best luthiers in the US? Not even at a price lower than a serial made Fender Deluxe?
7. Last chance. During these few days it will be £1250.
8. The opportunity is about to be over! I am going to wait until the BOL DAY (http://bassday.es/) on April 2nd where it will be available for direct sale together with other basses. After that I plan to retire the sale because I will not need the money anymore.
9. Thanks morseful!!! It really is a wonderful bass. I am seriously considering to keep it, but on the other hand I seldom play it so that's also a pity. I would love to see it played regularly and pampered by someone else as I have done.
10. Think twice. I had one like yours. I've always regretted selling it.
11. ********* Attention: Withdrawn ************ I'm selling, not without many doubts, my Skjold Offset'92 from 2006. See more about the model at: http://skjolddesign.com/basses/offset The bass is almost 10 years old and it has been used, except for the last year and a half. I have played it regularly, although mostly at home, but I have also gigged it some 15 times. Despite the regular (but not intensive) use, I have cared for it as the apple of my eye. It has no dings or scratches. The only things that reveal the use are (1) one of the pickup covers has a string mark; and (2) the maple fingerboard, in which you can see traces of the fingers (even if I cleaned it regularly, but the fingerboard is unfinished maple and it is impossible not to leave marks after the use). I have asked Pete Skjold about the way to remove those marks and he says it is quite hard. He also says that it gives the bass character. I'm selling the bass because I have two Marco Bass Guitars and since they arrived the Skjold has been literally hanging on the wall, and a few days ago a friend told me "basses are made for being played, not for hanging on walls". It is an extremely light bass and it is also amazingly comfortable. The neck is very thin and is perfect for speed playing. The fifth string is unbeatable (the Marcos come close, but honestly, they can beat the Skjold on this). The sound of this bass and the quality of construction are really outstanding. No wonder these basses go now for over $4000. Details: - 5 strings - 3-piece quarter-sawn maple neck, Perfectly stable and smooth as silk - Body made of one exceptional piece of mahogany. The color and shine are second to none (See photos) - Skjold SC-1 Pickups - Skjold 2-band preamp with multi-position pickup selector - Neutrik safety connector - Hipshot Hardware - New Skjold strings (used for 1 hour at home). - Protec Contego Gigbag Price includes delivery to Spain, UK, France, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Denmark, Greece. 12. Looks like it's not going to be around much longer...
13. Bump! When these basses start being known on this side of the Atlantic, some people will be regretting the missed opportunity ;-)
14. Nice bass. SX basses are very well built. Excellent value for money with regards to wood and construction. Electronics and pickups are weak, but they become very good basses when upgraded with new pickups.
15. Bump. Don't miss the "fretgroove" technology patented by Marco. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_hn0K4oT1I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H94ga7msmLg
16. Bump! See http://marcobassguitars.com/
17. Thanks for the comment HazBeen. Yes, he is Brazilian and has a long history working as luthier. He started in Brazil and then moved to work at the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan. After a time back in Brazil he moved to the US and now he's based in Dallas, Oregon. I visited him there a couple of weeks ago to pick up my new Marco AM5. You can see it here:
18. 100% mint; as new; no dings or scratches! BODY: 2-piece Alder with flamed Merlot top NECK: Rockhard Maple FINGERBOARD: 21 Fret Maple fingerboard, side dots only HARDWARE: Black A-Style Hipshot bridge (3D adjustable) and Black Hipshot tuners ELECTRONICS Glockenlang 3-band preamp with passive mode PICKUPS: Marco Custom Single-sized Bass Humbuckers. Each pickup can be used as single or humbucker with a switch. To help a good cause (I can clarify privately) I put for sale mi amazing MARCO BASS GUITARS TFL 5. This is one of the best high-end Jazz Basses available. Marco is a small but rising luthier with an amazing talent. All hand-made in Dallas, Oregon USA. It features a scale of 34'5", which makes the tension of the strings great without frets being too long for average hands. The sound of the bass is just amazing. The pickups are hand-wound by Marco himself and he tests them on the basses one by one until they have the right tone. The output of these basses is incredibly high, so much that you notice no difference between the passive tone and the active tone when the active eq is flat. The pickup covers are made of wood and the interior is sealed. They feature a quick connector like EMGs. Preamp is a 3-band Glockenlang that, according to Marco, is the one that best respects the tone of his basses. The bass is in perfect shape, with no scratches or dings. The photos do not do justice to the gorgeous look and the top-quality of the craftsmanship in this bass. Please do a search on Talkbass to learn more about this talented luthier and his basses. They say there that the best among the trully hand-made bass manufacturers (those who actually do the work in the basses you buy, as opposed to the Sadowskys, Foderas, Zons, etc.) are (Pete) SKJOLD and MARCO (Cortes). Let me say clearly that both are awesome and sound awesome. That said, I have basses from both and I honestly tell you I prefer the Marco tone, which is more natural and full, while the Skjolds are more scooped in each string (that is, lower strings have less highs and high strings have less lows). Marcos sound amazing all the way without sounding muddy or harsh and being much more bass-sounding. Skjolds are more guitar-like specially in the high strings, which is great for some styles (specially jazz and soloing), but not so great for others like rock, blues, funk, etc. You can hear the bass played by a non-gifted bass player (myself) in the link below. you can imagine what it would be like if someone who really plays bass would play it https://soundcloud.c...nido-marco-tfl5 Price does not include shipping but depending on the date and where you are I might be able to deliver it because I travel to the UK frequently.
19. Is this for a 17mm or 14mm hole?
20. Bought this bass from tommorichards. The bass was as advertised (not perfectly set up, but as advertised) and the deal was smooth with no issues. Nice guy.
