1. Doublethumber, there's one available on the Status website. www.status-graphite.com.
2. Hi Tomas, really sorry for the late response. That's a lovely looking bass, but it's not really my bag. Thanks anyway. Still for sale BUMP
3. Hey Big Rob, send me some pics of your Musicman please (or post them here). What does the "SLO" bit mean?
4. Hi Jeff, thanks for the message. I bought it off Mike Prince a few years ago. I guess he bought it off you. Hopefully she'll go to another good home soon.
5. Here's my late nineties Status Empathy, with a book-matched Cocobolo face. Serial Number 3911. It's in excellent condition and comes with the standard Hiscox Hard Case. It plays as you would expect, the action is super low and the neck is sweet and fast. It has a small dink on the upper horn, and one or two small ones on the lower edge (too small to be seen in pics). At some time in its life the nut has been changed for a bone one. A new Status nut is £6 from the Status website. The bass has a zero fret (like most ((or all?)) Statii) so the nut has never really bothered me. I'm asking £1000 for it, plus any postage costs. I'm in the Cardiff area. I'd welcome any trial/inspection...if you pick this bass up you'll love it! I'm selling it because I've got lots of basses and prefer the look/sound/feel of a Jazz-type bass, so this one's getting left out...and that ain't right! It needs somebody who's gonna slap the sh*t out of it! Maybe up for a trade for something quality. Must be 4 string and fretted.
6. [sub]Sold to The Big Cheese :-)[/sub] [sub]Cheers Terry![/sub]
7. Hey Tezza, if you'll accept £750 plus £25 P&P I'll buy it off you.
8. It looks like a Status Empathy (same as in my profile pic) to me, due to the three tone controls. On later Empathys the graphite stopped at the bridge pickup whereas on earlier ones the Graphite goes all the way to the bridge.

10. I'm lucky enough to own quite a few "high end" basses. I bought them not because they sound any better, but because I like them and I enjoy playing them. The only person that benefits from their quality is me. And that's fine. However, I picked up an old Tokai Jazz Bass a few weeks ago for £200. What an amazing bass! It balances perfectly, sounds amazing and is packed full of character. It's becoming my favourite bass!
11. Blimey...3 big ones for a new Precision??? I'm sure it's nice, but if I had a list of basses I'd buy for 3 grand or less, the Precision would certainly be on it...but it would be a very long list and the Precision would be somewhere near the bottom! What about a nice, old Wal, or even a new one? Oh yes!
12. How did you get on with this? I used to have a 4B with the Piranha 5in speakers but found that it didnt have the oomph that I needed. Then I bought two of the 6B's with the Neo speakers and the built in amp, and I hardly ever use both of them. I play in an 8 piece sould band and the bass has to be loud and deep. Just ONE of my 6B's does the job perfectly.
13. Hey Mike. Got the bass on Friday...it's beautiful! I play some pretty high-end basses (mainly Status), but this one oozes character and it a peach to play. It came really well packaged too. Thank you very much :-)
14. Hey Mike. I like the look of this bass. Just sent you a personal message. Thanks
15. Hey Sean, can you confirm that you've sold it to me, and get me some contact/collection details. How can I pay you...cash, bank transfer? Please advise
16. Hi Sean, I'm really interested in this bass. How old is it please? I've got a Status Electro that's for sale on ebay right now. If I get a decent price for it I'll come and have a look at it. I'm in Cardiff so you're not too far away. Cheers, Glen.
