1. Short-scale. Condition 9.5/10 Internally/Externally all original (Except for upgraded varitone switch)
2. Thanks Shaggy... it's more the fact that I also have a 1964 Epiphone Rivoli that comes to most gigs. I bought this thinking it'd be a great no.2 guitar. Trouble is it's too nice for most gigs.
3. With the switch in the 'off' position, the tone is bright, clear and almost acoustic-sounding. The baritone switch adds a massive amount of thump - a huge sound. Like no other bass I own. I use it with the baritone switch permanently on. It's a big sound. Completely unique but totally useable.
4. 1967 Gibson EB-2 in Cherry Red. Aside from a couple of tiny dings, this is virtually immaculate. 52 years old. All original (apart from an upgraded baritone switch - as nearly all of these have) complete with original hardshell case - also in excellent condition. You'll not find a cleaner example. Slim neck, low action and perfect intonation. No set-up required. Fully working original string mute and complete with pickup cover. Very reluctant sale to fund a Precision Bass. (No trades thank you. I've already bought the P). Thanks for looking! Enjoy the pictures.
5. Up for sale is my Relic 'Parts' Precision Bass at a bargain price for a quick sale. What we have is an MJT custom body ($375 worth) in Tangerine with a beautiful relic job. The rest of the guitar was a Limelight bass. The neck is great. I had a Custom Shop relic 64 P and I MUCH preferred the Limelight neck hence why the CS went first. The pickguard is an original Fender guard from 1964 which came off another bass I own. It has a filled hole where an extra pot was added. The pickup, wiring, covers and reverse tuners are all as came on the Limelight instrument - not sure what they are but they all work/sound great. A lot of guitar for not a lot of money. Records very nicely. Can be heard in action here: https://thebluejaysuk.bandcamp.com/track/when-will-i-be-loved-3

8. Price Drop! £950 Bass is now with me in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
9. If I still have it by then you're welcome to come and try it. Frustratingly, I was in Paris at the weekend.
10. Hi Nico, the bass is also listed on eBay. Obviously for my own peace of mind I'd rather it sold to someone who could collect it. If it doesn't sell, I'll let you know. Regards, Chris
11. Hi Paul, It's just under 4.5kg according to my bathroom scales. Not light but by no means a back-breaker. Not looking for any trades at the moment unfortunately. The Custom Shop P arrived yesterday and at the minute I need to recoup the cost of that. Cheers, Chris.
12. Thanks. Yeah, you can't really go wrong with it. Solid as a rock. There's been a few guitars I've been sad to say goodbye to. This will definitely be one of them.
13. PRICE DROP! £950 [s]£1100[/s] I'm selling my 50th Anniversary USA Precision Bass. I may live to regret it. My loss will definitely be someone's gain. Ok... here's the absolute truth... I went and ordered one of the Fender Custom Shop 64 Relic P Basses online. I'm currently in my flat waiting for it to be delivered. I've been craving that Sunburst/Tort/Rosewood look for about a year. I know in my heart it's not going to play as well as this bass does. But this is what we do, right? I wish I could afford to keep both. If the CS is a complete dud maybe I'll change my mind. But, like I say, my loss... your gain. This is one of approximately 400 manufactured in the USA in 2001. Well known for being one of the best off-the-shelf Fender Basses in recent times. Here are the full specifications: Body: Ash Neck: Maple (Maple Capped plus Graphite Reinforced) Fingerboard: Maple (9.5" Radius/241mm) Frets: 20 Medium Jumbo Scale Length: 34" Width at Nut 1.625" Hardware: Chrome Bridge: Standard. (String-through body) Pickguard: Black Annodized Aluminium Pickups: USA P Bass Unique Features: Vintage Tint on Neck, Commemorative 50th Anniversary Neck Plate, Rolled Fingerboard Edges, Certificate of Authenticity, Orange-lined Tweed Hardcase. This bass is such a joy to play. The neck is the most comfortable I have ever played. The action is low with no buzzes. Despite having been gigged countless times, the frets are approx. 99.9%. I'm sure they went all out when they designed this model. It's virtually indestructable. There are a few little dings here and there, nothing major. I bought the bass in 2007 and it has been my primary instrument since then. I bought it from the bass player of a band called Thirteen Senses. You can see the bass in use in their 'Do No Wrong' video on YouTube Comes complete with it's tweed hardcase and certificate of authenticity. I'm based in South London if you'd like to come and try the bass out. I will be sad to see it go. Here it is onstage with Brian May. (Shameless plug) Thanks for looking, Chris
