I do the same. The problem with removing instruments whenever you stop somewhere is you’re alerting those around you to the fact that there might be other stuff in the car.

Yup. Swings/roundabouts and a balancing act. Plus the risk of being mugged for the gear rather than the car window bricked 😞

  2. OK, lots of lovely valve heft and tone! I'll not bore you with that you already know. I bought this about two years ago, and it had not been gigged or rehearsed - home use only and not a lot of that as I have a Bassman 135!

There's a Roqsolid cover to go with it - I can't see any difference in the amp from new.

It's a great amp to pop on top of a modern lightweight cab to hold it in place 🙂

Being big, heavy and fragile, In the first instance I am looking at collection - Manchester/Bolton/Wigan area.

    Thanks for looking,

    Paul.

Fancy nicking a Moollon, rare in UK and with a highly recognisable headstock. If crap converters cannot see that sticking out like a sore thumb I don't know.....

That rather assumes they know what was in the bag - it may have been an opportunistic passing scrote that saw the gig bag.

The sad option may be they realise too late they will struggle to move it on, and damage it 😞

  4. Not directly bass related - I built a Tele partscaster a while back. I ordered some ludicrously expensive pups from the states, but lead time was about three months. I ordered some toneriders as a stopgap.

I haven't got round to fitting the expensive ones.

  5. Love it thanks - tweaked the setup  a fair bit - reduced neck relief, adjusted action a little. Mainly going to be a bedroom toy - I don't really have time for being in a band for the next couple of years. My repertoire is also such that local dep jobs would be awkward too! once the kids are old enough to get themselves around and be left unattended I might start looking.

  6. How many LEDs to light? it depends!

The LEDs say it's doing some compression. The more LEDs the more compression. If you want a more extreme compression, head into the yellow. The red is pretty much hitting a limiter. Nothing wrong with that if that's what you like.

Do what sounds right to you.

  7. As WoT says, there's something about valves for heft, if not portability. I have been messing about more recently - using mt streamliner 900. Plugged in the bassman 135 as a change. Into my 8ohm cab, I'd guess tops 80 watts.

    More heft than the Genz.

    They're a treat.

They're very nice offstage, and great fun onstage... a couple of them behave just the same way everywhere (hi Colin! ;)) It's one of my very favourite bands because they do well what they do and it always seems fun and inspiring. It's exactly the kind of band I would be happy to sign in for eternity in Hell. :D

Fun - that what too many of us forget, and is utterly infectious.
