Earbrass is right. Everyones prime goal in life is to be a victim. A multi millionaire tennis player tries to illegally enter a country, faces a few days trapped in a hotel room and he is the victim. Where's my sympathy? Katie Price gets tanked up on booze and drugs, flips her car and her defence is "I did it because I had some distressing news" ergo I am the victim. Where's my sympathy? -

Yer something to be truly alarmed about. A beacon of democracy was a sliver away from becoming a dictatorship. -

I mean I get it. Some people only feel able to tackle the small injustices they come across. Like this debate. They don't have the levels of rage to tackle the bigger issues. Their are some people who will write to the BBC and say *I am so angry because the bloke who read the news, his poppy wasn't on straight" -

I know it's just nuts. I can look at atleast 3 main news stories on the BBC right now which people should feel genuine rage over. -

Supernaut. I know to some like us it's just banter, but you only have too read some of the posts on here too see their are some more sensitive soul's who are affected. -
The only modern trends which fill me with fear are Autotune and that other software package which aligns everything in perfect time.

Discussions and healthy debate are fine and dandy, but some people seem to revel in laying into others. Also some people seem hung up on the literary definitions of words like rascism and xenophobia. Maybe while they have their dictionaries out they should look up sarcasm? -

Is the group beat-up-athon still going on? Just go and help the poor lady across the road with her shopping or explain Venn Diagrams to the kids. -

Well I genuinely hope that all people who were bullied are able to not let it affect them in later life. I only got the occasional comment of Konk Face from our geography teacher. -

So as the subtle nature of language seems to confuse most people, do you think I should can the idea of starting a thread called "Should we start burning the disabled?" stinky poo better put an emoji or some people will believe that 😛 See a child like symbol. They can process that and feel non threatened. -

Americans, ginger people, fat people.... And now the most cherished demographic of all. Camp Vikings. Managed to upset them all 🤔😋 Still I've learnt some valuable lessons from this. Some people can't process simple information. Some people would actually find Blazing Saddles a rascist film? Seems crazy but yer they are out there. -

The thing that irks me is, yes its great that we hopefully live in a society that objects to racism, sexism etc A generation that wants to change the status quo and challenge the norm for the betterment of everyone. No more accepting injustice. People flock to their keyboards in defence of decency. That's all great. But if the fascist hordes were really marching in the streets, and Enoch Powell was clearing his throat , where would these people then be? Would they be standing shoulder to shoulder manning the defences in a physical sense? I have my doubts.
