I liked the Indie bands. Ride were good. If it ain't your thing , then it is easy to dismiss. I particularly liked Neds Atomic Dustbin

Best voice for me is Steve Marriot
-
Don`t like the songs, but quality playing. You have to be a confident singer to try a Luther Vandross song
-
I have never given Howard Jones any time after Like To Get Too Know You Well. Nik Kershaw was ok for the time,

I bought a Boss RC30 pedal . Quick delivery. I would recommend buying any item from Paul

Says "will post if necessary"
[/quote] Ahh yes. I missed reading the bit at the bottom -
Collection only. I live in the next town if anyone wants me to collect it. No idea how I will get it to you at this point, as i have no bass shaped box

Thank you Steve. Thankfully it is quite rare over here.

No experience in this sort of thing, but perhaps bands should ask what percentage of the days takings over their usual margins are going to the charity, or the minimum if the takings are not so good. If all the bands do this and get a breakdown of the takings, then it maybe easier to make a decision as to if it is worth doing. I would have expected a good chunk more than £200 if your figures are true. If there was no agreement of how much should go to the charity, then I guess they have done nothing wrong

If it is still available, how much is the postage ?
-
I would pay £90 if it was a band I really liked. It is a lot of money, but I doubt there will be many unsold tickets. The most I have paid was £75 for Lionel Richie. I get more upset about paying high admin fees , plus postage for 4 tickets that cost £1,75 each despite them being in the same envelope.

Does Hole In My Shoe by Traffic count ?

I like the fact that the body has been butchered, but is kind enough to say there is a blemish on the headstock

What can you say about Chuck Berry, except legend
-
If they have the cash to buy it, then fair play to them if that is what they like to spend it on. I guess most of us has spent cash on needless stuff we could have given to charity instead.

Very nice. I like Bass race. Haven`t listened to them all, but I will give it some time
-
Nice old school sound. I like it

It has been around 2 years ago I thought about recording my stuff that I try to play. I have saved up the money and ordered a pair of Yamaha HS8 monitors, which I hope to receive soon. I have the kit that I need I think, as I have a laptop, a Scarlett 2i2, and obviously a bass. I have been looking at Reaper, as the $60 seems reasonable. Really looking forward to hearing how bad I sound.

Perhaps bands should declare the song they want as the single, and any other downloads discounted from the chart. It would make it better as the choice could prove crucial

That repair is impressive. I wouldnt have thought a repair could be that invisible.
-
The nonchalant stance perfectly captured. You have a good band Blue.
-
I am pretty much anti social. I will be more sociable next time , as I reckon I will be good enough to call myself a bass player .
-
I have to say, that while there is a fair racket, it is nothing compared to the competition for the loudest bass player at the South East Bass bash. That really does get horrendous in the hall.
Why would anyone want to be the bass player in an indie band?

to those saying 'because they want to' yeah well, that's obvious. it's just that none of the bassists nor the rest of the players looked like they were having much fun unlike say the blokes in Songhoy Blues. Maybe I just dont get all this thing about looking nonchalant and not engaging with the crowds
