Well, the money is probably going to be used in the following ways:

1: as a means to try to strengthen the economy in preparation for the total collapse of the financial state of the country
As the Bank of England have stated they were wrong about the economy and the state of collapse, you might be wrong too

  2. I enjoyed it. I ended up buying a set of Gotoh Machine Heads and a book from Bassline. I was disappointed about the lack of bass bits. The Aquilar pickups I was interested in was £194. They retail elsewhere for around £150. A bridge on the Tonetech site was £180. I need a new bridge, but not for that price.
The performers I saw were top notch. Like a few people, I thought Glen Matlock was a highlight.
As usual, there was very limited left handed basses. I saw 3. I did like the Shuckers.

If you go from Ruislip Garden on the Central Line to Shepherds Bush and walk down to Olympia it about 20min on the Train and a 20min walk. Assuming it is in the usual rooms at Olympia, the entrance is at the Hammersmith end of the building near North End Road. Also there is Walker-stalker-con, a Zombie event on in the main hall try not to end up in the wrong room! :D
According to the website, it takes 40 minutes by tube from Ruislip to Barons Court, and Ruislip Gardens to Shepards Bush. Walk from Barons Court. 0.5 miles, and Shepards Bush 1.2 mile walk

Nothing wrong with those headstocks. Not the prettiest but miles ahead(!) of the tumorous fender heads.
I would agree if they were on a £200 bass. On a 5k bass, I would expect better

Haven't checked, but I'm assuming there's parking at Olympia?

Also, does anyone take a bass with them or not?
I have seen people with basses, but not that many. I guess it is worth it if you want to buy an amp, but the amp manufacturers have basses knocking around for you to use.
I have no idea on parking, but unless you want something like an amp, you might be better going to somewhere like Ruislip and getting the tube in. The parking is around £2 or £3 for the day at the station, and about a fiver round trip to Olympia. it takes around one hour to get there from Ruislip. That is where I am aiming for.
There is a multi story car park close by.

Is it really that close! Ok well I'm up for a challenge. If you never hear from me again please search the Kensington area
If you go onto google maps and get directions from high street kensington to Olympia it will tell you it is 0.6 miles. It really is that simple you cant go wrong unless you turn the wrong way out the station.

What's the best way from Kings Cross?
I am far from an expert, but I would imagine from Kings Cross, go to High Street Kensington, and walk straight down Kensington High Street. Takes about 10 minutes to walk, and you can`t get lost

I checked the picadilly line from St Pancras to Barons court and it was ok yesterday. Get off at Barons Court and olympia is a 10 minute walk
Lucky I saw this. I will have to print a map off to walk in from Barons Court then

I would like to give "the boy" the benefit of doubt. I'll wait to see what his response is.
I don't think there is any benefit of the doubt to be given. A light hearted jest is always good in my book.

I disagree. If money was no object and every bass was available to buy you'd end up with more basses than you could possibly hope to play. In fact you'd become one of those queer creatures - a collector.
I actually meant it too mean the lack of money. That is what is stops most of us.
