Hi guys

I've just got off the phone with the organisers and can confirm that BC will have a stand this year in the Foyer which will be an un-amplified space so we can chat properly.

We'll soon be announcing a BC discount code so as soon as I hear I'll send information to everyone by email and add the voucher to our shop.

More news as it happens - @LondonBassGuitarShow will be coming to update us, too.

    Cheers

    ped

Do you think we will get the discount before the early bird tickets 16th of December?

I think last year we negotiated a 20% discount by way of a code to input at checkout. I’ll get on to them soon and see if we can do it again this year.

Basschat will also be there with our very own stand, hopefully a bit more formally this year (last year we had a little table but actually it was brilliant)

We’ll post about it soon with details of times for members to meet at the stand plus any competitions and giveaways we’ll be doing on the day.

You might even get to shake my hand which in itself is worth the admission fee.

I am surprised you are doing it after the last time you sent emails

    You bet, Rik! :D
My 2018 looks like it's going to be the year of music shows - NAMM in January, LBGS in March. Bring it on! :)
What an awful life you have :)
I am off work, so I will be there on the 3rd. There is no mention of it on their site as yet.

And I completely failed to try your Shukers. Again. 😶
I had an interesting chat about those. Had a couple of features I had never heard of. Very nice basses. I still don't think I am a headless bass person. I would like to try one, but the usual left handed problem .

  5. Just got home. Thanks too the organisers for putting this together again. Davey Rimmer was amazing. I knew easy Living, but was unaware of the rest of the catalogue. I will be looking for their CD's now.
Steve Lawson put on a good show. How anyone can ramble so much and be highly entertaining is beyond me.
Already looking forward to next year.

Bit late now - see above. Watched a demo anyway and I love the tone. However it seems a bit pointless if they're making a point of it's size and then demo it through a 4x10!

Their own little cab is tiny, I'd love to see a demo of that.

The prices look bloody good as well.
    Anyone here tried one out?
Yes. I never gave that much thought. There doesn't appear to be much on the way of demo's with the small cab. A bit strange really.

    A generational thing.

I get how young players might not get his once in a lifetime style and approach to the electric bass. However, I will never get or understand how some younger players don't understand his inpact or overall contribution and inspration to thousands of musicians.

BTW I'm not a huge Jaco fan.

    Blue
Probably because he is hard to listen to. I think most people will acknowledge his legacy and his playing, but it is very hard going. I listen to him sometimes because I appreciate how good he was, but not for long.

This was the last attendees list we had I think, from about 3 weeks ago which I've just updated to include all the guest speakers too...

Please can you update it if your name is missing from it, or you now can't make it, or even if your gear list has changed? Thanks :)

yes i find them quite handy as they are close to where i live so it's easy to nip in & try something out,(they have a 30day money back guarantee policytoo) which i did on saturday morning to find i really didn't get on with the Fuzzmo at all, ended up buying an Ampeg Scrambler overdrive instead, which is mega.
the staff in the showroom are very helpful to the point where they said that they would match the competitors price if i decided to buy the pedal.
Fair point. I always assume no one ever lives by a decent music shop. My nearest is at least one hour away
