Yeah over the years I've had Warwick Carvin ACG Status all 6 strings Should have really kept the Status that was nice not to heavy and had a great neck I did see a dingwall ng3 6 strings On eBay but it's not what I'm after

Hi, I'm after some information on The Strunal 5/35 hybrid I'm a lefty and this is a proper left handed model At a very reasonable second hand price I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them I've been looking for a good starter bass one that will be a good gigging bass as well Thanks

I've had a NS full size EUB And moved it on as I mainly play fretless I ended up ordering a NS Omni bass 34 scale and I find it's easier to play and switch between both Good technique will help get better intonation

Yeah thanks I did arrange to go down and check it out at the weekend but the seller said next week But I'm going to pass as I've asked the seller for pictures and some information on the the condition off the bass And he didn't reply after 4 messages and still hasn't mentioned the condition then said possibly come down next weekend Shame really The search continues 👌

I've actually found a lefty double bass for a very reasonable price £300 It's a Gewa Monnich laminated I'm going to hopefully check it out this weekend has everyone had any experience with this make And is a laminated double bass okay It will be for Jazz Any help is mutch appreciated

That's how I use the amp I just set 3 effects that I like And set the memory button To a nice present with reverb For my EUB sounds great 👍

I've decided to stick with my NS Omni Bass as I can get a nice fretless kinda upright sound But I'll be on the lookout for a used lefty double bass or if I can find a right handed one that's suitable to convert Thanks for the input form everyone 👍 Here's a piic of my NS

I've had this amp for a few months And was the same trying to get a good sound that I like In the end I used the global EQ setting It has parametric and graphic EQ I used the graphics EQ settings On my laptop and it sounds great 👍

I do have an NS Omni bass 5 string that's great as the scale length is The same as my electric Basses I actually had the full size version But the scale length gave me really bad hand pain I did have a few lessons from a upright player when I first got the NS But the scale length was the problem I still would love a double bass And the 1/4 seemed like a good solution Thanks for the advice on the 1/4 👍

Okay more developments I was looking into the 1/4 double bass but it seems there isn't many people using them as its more a student instrument But this could work for me as the size would be great it would fit in my car 😅 And using bass guitar fingerings I have combos and preamps as the acoustic volume wouldn't be as loud as a 3/4 Thomann said they can make a lefty 👌 Thomann 22 1/4 Europe Double Bass in a lefthand version and probably a 5 string Anyone using or played one?

Thanks Bluejay Great advice the thomann route is probably the best way But will look out for a used one you never know 😅 I do have an NS Omni 5 string that's a great bass and has a really nice sound I use it in my Jazz band but I just love the sound of double basses I like the look of the 5 string double bass that thomann are offering in lefty But would this be too much to learn on double bass as specially with the longer scale and different hand fingerings ?
