Apologies, I didn't mean to come across like that - it's just they are really quite different basses.
Ha ha, i know! I did say they were very different but still worth a look……. Take it easy 😉

This thread refers to the original USA made SUBs, made from 2003-2006. A different kettle of fish to the 'Sterling by Musicman' range of SUBs. (I think).
I was just joining in Dad!

Check out the review by Bass Lobster, who also did a fab upgrade ( which i will be copying) with EMG pickups and eq.
i like mine alot, its fun to play , but its nowhere near a USA Stingray, its a completely different bass. For a start a 38mm neck width, which i prefer personally. The stock EQ is pretty rubbish, but you actually do get what you pay for, lol, and i bought mine as a mod platform.

Amazing! Glad you are having fun and enjoying it. I think the type of gig is important, and it looks like you are playing brilliant gigs!!

Far be it from me to say but it balances so beautifully you wouldn't know it was there
Excellent news. That Burgundy Mist is rather nice.
my wife asked me why i needed another bass. ‘ you can only play one at a time’ etc etc…….
(Sigh….)

Luckily for me the Jazz weighs over 10lb. My finger was hovering over the add to basket button!

Recently picked one up at GAK for £425.
massive value for money, and it sounds very good.
handles rehearsals and gigs without blinking, no extra cab needed.
but….. prefer using my trolley when carting it about……
at this price its worth a punt.

Really interesting, thanks Stub. I have the same cab, and it is truly thunderous! I have been tempted by the Orange, so it was a weird coincidence that i saw your review. I have the GR Dual amp at present, very powerful and loads of features, but……. Yeah, you know. Its a character thing. The Terror seems to ooze warmth and character…..
thanks again.

I love mine! Great basses these , glwts
Perfect gigging bass. Very light, fab balance, and very wide tonal range.

Thanks all, some fab people on this forum! Much appreciated.

I have learnt alot from this thread, thank you!
one question though, is the watt to output ratio linear? So, if i run my Orange Terror 500 at half volume , is it operating at 250 watts? ( running thru 2x obc112 400w cabs)

Hi. Do you know the actual weight please?
Hi, its around the 9lb mark…..

Hi all
Special deal on my Jazz !
i bought this new from GAK and it has sat on my wall doing nothing. Hasnt been gigged or rehearsed even.
it is a lovely bass, without a blemish, and has a very nice neck, and very powerful pups.
nicely weighted too, and i have fitted a hipshot extender, which i will include in the price.
very much open to trades, but i am a bit fussy, it needs to be in very good condition etc.
it comes with a nice gig bag, and if possible i prefer to meet half way or arrange collection.
