Roll back the bass and treble: viola! Mid boost!
-
I keep the Aural Enhancer on the SWR at 11:00, Gain at 13:00, Master as needed and the rest at noon.
The pedal preamp is there for taste, so scoop or bump to taste. Buttons are fun, try them! -
"I have vague money-no-object GAS for a bass that may not even exist - a long-scale 5 string"
Flying V in CAR with white pg.
It's called a V why is there not one with V strings on? -
Second one, but the teardrop should be completed by the last fret, not the base of the neck.
Looks like a plan! -
It's lovely!
Regular shape for the SR5 pickguard btw. -
Megan Fox.

Mxr bass comp here. On all the time for a little limiting. Easy to set up!

I love my new Verellen valve preamp, it does give that bounce and full-fat tone when I want it, and I switch it off to go directly into the SWR 750x which is tight like a tight thing!

My guitards want more slap, more envelope filter and other weird bass party tricks. I thought I was in a thrash metal band!
Anyhow, heres a good instructional film about slapping with bass:

I'm still curious if anyone has any experience with this slim double bass, as I would imagine it would be less loud for practice at home, but good enough when amplified at gigs?
is this 'slim' instrument just designed for amplified playing, with little chance of a decent acoustic sound? Seems obvious really, and I don't want to limit myself to getting used to an unsually shaped bass. But still, the price is alright! http://www.thomann.d...ss_europe_1.htm
-
I feel this is appropriate here.

In - MXR m82 bef - Verellen meatsmoke preamp - MXR m87 bc - out
Verellen rec out to tuner.
The comp is last in the chain because the envelope filter and preamp are sensitive to attack.

I have the meatsmoke preamp in pedal format, Best Ever!
Verellen fanboy bump. -
My life without Donald Fagan would be drastically identical.

Really cheap, non-permanent so don't muck up the spec of the bass (or guitar).
I bought a dozed or so sets aaaaages ago.

4 euro and still no beer?! -
3quid WITHOUT beer? Pfah!

Schaller or Grolsch-loks.
Had a Ernie Ball lok break without cause, dinged the trans-teal MM. Bastards! -
Some ideas to kick around:
Hohner/steinberger headless
Fender aerodyne
Routing chambers in your P body maybe replace the neck with carbon
Kala Ubass -
Its such a shame music isn't produced as intricately as it can be, really takes the fun out of all that wondrous technology!

Engl rackhead 1060?

Rapidly growing gas for a rockabilly upright. Nowhere to put it!
