  1. This is good to know. I think anyone who opts to name one the FourFliptops is then obligated to buy four and run them all in series. If he does rename the pedal using one of your suggestions @Quatschmacher, I think you should receive one gratis.
  2. It is out of my budget too unfortunately as much as I’d like to support him. I follow him mainly for his occasional covers and bite size lessons; the pedals are a bonus. Great player. His series of video lessons are brilliant too.
  3. B-Fifteena Marie is excellent! Quite like the Four FlipTops too. Well done, sir.
  4. The price is indeed steep and it being probably mostly made to order means trialling one beforehand would be unlikely. And I struggled to come with a more apt pun. ChatGTP had a tough time too…
  5. Celebrity Pedals have released a very small run of pre amps modelled after the Ampeg B-15 dubbed ‘Smells Like B-15 Spirit’. Celebrity Pedals don’t have a website but should be up on their Reverb store at some point. Nice to have another option to add to the small but growing list of builders that offer something like this alongside Sushi Fx, Shiftline, Broughton, Ampeg SVT-DI and likes. @Quatschmacher Might be of interest?
  6. Just the Tu3s down the local Wetherspoons on a Thursday night… 😛
  7. Apologies in advance for the messy cabling but a recent house move has meant I now have space for a more permanent home pedal set-up. I feel very fortunate.
  8. I recall reading this. I think running it behind a buffer rectified the issue. Good to know the Grand doesn’t have the same issue.
  9. This is helpful. I’ve been eyeing up a Slampegg on Reverb but might opt for the Grand at some point based on your experience.
  10. These are fantastic. Uniquely voiced and when using an expression pedal, you can get big juicy filter sweeps. Good luck with sale!
  11. This is now a reality. I’ll be keen to give it a go. Also very keen to hear from anyone if owns/has owned the original! https://www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=0709-ALB
  12. Luke is taking a break from the pedal side of the business and selling off remaining stock with 25% off. Some bargains to be had! https://www.thereallygoodpedalco.com.au/
  13. A fantastic overdrive from Spaceman. What really makes it unique is that it has a resonant filter that allows you to create big filter sweeps when used with an expression pedal. It’s not quite as dramatic as a dedicated resonant low pass filter but still produces really nice sweeps. In excellent to mint condition and includes box and shiny space bag…for cables, miscellaneous plecs, space rocks etc. Price also includes shipping or you’re more than happy to collect from Reading/London. This is what Spaceman have to say: Polaris is a dynamic medium-gain overdrive, with incredibly flexible tone-shaping capabilities. Featuring a 2-pole resonant filter, fully controllable via expression pedal for filter sweeps and out-of-this-world overdrive tones. Zach Rizer offers a great overview including the resonant filter section: Pics: And Spaceman’s own demos:

  14. Looks cool. I’d imagine will be a big hit with guitarists. I can see why this was developed after the Artifact. Seems like a safer release that will have greater mass appeal. I’m interested by the mention of a global editor where you can play all Source Audio pedals. Is this refering to a plug-in suite. Now that would be great!
  15. Nice overview. Seems very well thought out and might offer something for people who already have each individual effect.
  16. I caved….
  17. The Broughton is sitting in my cart. I’m not sure whether to pull the trigger but my dilly-dadling will probably mean it’s sold out by the time I make a decision….so many new pedals to covet…😛
  18. I’ll dust of my prediction from last time; a dual modulation pedal. 😀
  19. Haha. My work here is done. 😆 The kids these days… The clips do show the more obnoxious side of the pedal. There is a huge range on both circuits and it is capable of more refined and hopefully musical sounds; but where is the fun in that!
  20. Oooo, I’ve no idea whether any permission was sought. It’s been quite a few years since Chunk Systems ceased production. I’m just glad someone resurrected and - in my opinion - improved on the original design. It is very cool.
  21. I’ll be keen to hear your thoughts on the envelope setting of the Wombtone. That was one of the main motivations to get one after finding the Seymour Duncan Polarons envelope a bit underwhelming. And I haven’t explored the 12-stage setting on the Black Pearl…I’m experiencing pedal option paralysis with phasers at the moment! And sorry to have derailed the thread somewhat! I’m still interested in this!! Haha!
  22. If I didn't already have a Chase Bliss Wombtone Billy Strings on its way from the US, I’d be all over this. Really good price and an even bigger bargain when compared to the used prices of the Moog MF-103! GLWTS!
  23. I’m not sure how aware people are of Anaconda basses so I thought I’d share this latest custom to shine some light on these amazing instruments. Andrew is a talented luthier and I had been a fan of his custom basses for several years. Last Summer I approached Andrew about a possible build. My idea was to have a medium-scaled 5 with a vintage aesthetic and a sound inspired by a Ken Smith or Sadowsky Modern. I have always loved that Ken Smith sound but wanted something a little different looks-wise with some additional customisations. Andrew was incredible throughout the process, sharing his knowledge and advising on every single detail of the build. The end result is amazing and I couldn’t be happier. It was never the intention to simply build a Ken Smith clone but rather capture that general sound; but I must admit, it nails that KS sound! If anyone is considering a custom build, I can’t recommend Andrew enough. Based in North London. http://www.anacondabasses.co.uk/ Specs: Model: Anaconda Ultra J5E - Elite Body Core: Swamp Ash Top Wood: 3A Quilted Maple Neck: 3 piece Maple/Purple heart Fingerboard: Ebony Scale length: 32” Pickups - Armstrong ‘Handwound EMG shape with Ken Smith spec Preamp: Glockenklang 3-Band + Mid Passive tone control Bridge: Hipshot A Style –16.5-17mm Tuners: Hipshot Ultralites Lollipop Newtone Strings
  24. Great mods. Modern sound but with vintage looks. How does the sound compare with the Bantam?
  25. Really interesting. I’d love to try this with an e-c tuning. Oh dear…..
