  1. There is a pedal promising this.
  2. Very cool design! I like the LED placement. That also reminds me that I've used HR Giger stuff on some of my builds.
  3. Those are cool! What's the pedal all the way to the right? Knob labelling is 🤣
  4. Ah, I see .... but nope, no plans to do more than my pedals. And I'll add projects in the works. For a while now, I wanted to do something with Barbarella, so finally here she is on an upcoming build. Also upcoming, a Tonebender with blackjack and ...
  5. Thanks @admiralchew and @3below for the kind words. What I do to dress up my builds is: - prepare the graphics with Photoshop (drill template integrated) - print them on good quality, self-adhesive, transparent foil - apply a varnish that's used for oil paintings - put it on the enclosure - drill I'm not sure what you mean ...
  6. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed 😉 ... but I really do like sci-fi and sometimes put something along those lines on my pedal builds. Ghost in the Shell Akira 2001 Dune Moebius B movie type sci-fi stuff
  7. It's great, I love it. The EQ section is very powerful providing a wide range of tone shaping possibilities. Together with the clean/dirt blend and the boost you have a very versatile pedal. Recommended.
  8. Current state of pedal mayhem at my feet in the rehearsal room. Signal gets split twice (Meatbox, DD7) and ends up in 3 rigs. Main / Sub Left Right
  9. Cheers! And yeah, pedals! I guess I'll have to drop by to the "show your board" thread too.
  10. My corner in the rehearsal room: Musicman HD130 & Ampeg Isovent Sunn 200s & Acoustic 301 RW O))) (200s replica) & Musicman 1x15 / EV 1x15
  11. Cheers! That's the great and amazing Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, known as Moebius. What's a TLRT though?
  12. I'm definitely not comfortable in building with surface mount parts and surely won't get into it! I mean, even a very tight PCB layout is already a challenge for my poor eyes and shaky hands. That's one of the reasons I like Deadend FX stuff, speaking of which, here are some of my latest builds to catch up and bore you a bit, as I haven't posted here in a while. Deadend FX GOLLUM (Spaceman Rumblefuzz), pretty cool fuzz that slays on bass! I used to have the Broughton version and think that the added boost is very nice and gives the fuzz more bloom and doom. And 2 oneknobbers, a Meathead (M-13) Dark on a Fuzzdog PCB and a Rounding Error on a MAE PCB that has been lying around for a while. The switch on that one is for different input caps. PedalPCB Parentheses Mini, kinda like the EQD Life Pedal V2 without the expression control. Because I can't handle two foot switches on a 125B, I opted for a wider encloure, resulting in more wiring. So yeah, it's not super tidy in there .... This something Dunwich designed: a Bass Boost/OD that doubles as an (power) amp. I've seen a few of them in the wild, but never got around to order one from the master himself before he hung up the soldering iron. Fortunately, Nick was kind enough to hook me up with a PCB, what a great guy! The bass boost is killer and if used as an amp, it sounds surprisingly good with my old Italian 2x12" from the 70ies that I use at home. Last one to round it off is also from Deadend FX, the Big Ear, another Spaceman recreation (Wow Signal) Sounds wicked, although I still need to fine tune it a bit.
  13. I think the wooden box on the floor could be from Retro Mechanical Labs, probably a Mig Fuzz.
  14. Foxx Select-a-Fuzz (powered by a Deadend FX PCB). Has a 5-way rotary to select caps for different types of Doom.
  15. Oh nice one! I've been intrigued ever since you mentioned it in the DIY thread. Massive amounts of fuzz with more bass than you need is my cup of tea. Sounds clips would be great. Any idea what it might be working with circuit wise? Cheers.
  16. I was also tempted by the real deal, but fortunately it sold out quicker than I could consider buying it. Did you get the big one with the octave on a foot switch or the mini version? In any case, make sure to match the GE diodes of the stinger/octave section. Enjoy the Sunn O))) gig!
  17. Here's another one: the PedalPCB version of the EQD/Sunn O))) Life Pedal. I didn't like the knob and footswitch layout too much. I also wanted a jewel light for the main on/off. So, everything got moved, except the clipping switch and the boost foot switch, which explains the spaghetti wiring in there. Sounds pretty good. Here's a quick sample: 0:00 clean 0:07 Rat on (Dist kinda low) 0:15 Octave gets turned up 0:22 Rat + full Octave 0:33 Rat only (0ctave off) 0:37 Rat + Boost 0:44 Rat + Boost + Octave (full) Clip switch down.
  18. Oh, wow, fantastic! Actually, I wasn't too sure about mentioning the Siren Mod as you said you wanted to put the whole thing into a 1590N, ...... great you like the "woo woo noises" and I must say I'm quite impressed by your "squeezing abilities".
  19. Sure, I'm just quoting the smart guy here: FREQ: "C23 (the freq cap of the PLL), instead of soldering in this cap, run 2 wires from the pads to the center pads of a DPDT toggle. Now put the C23 (.1uf) on one set of the outer DPDT lugs and then put another value on the other lugs. I'm doing the .1uf and a .01uf." I used a higher value than .01uF ... I can check if you want, but I think it was 0.067uF. TRACK: "The tracking mod basically just adds a wire from the left pad of R9 that goes to the center lug of a SPST toggle, one outer lug is left unconnected to anything, the other outer lug connects to one leg of a .1uf cap and the other leg goes to ground." There is even another mod he mentioned, that I didn't add. But that would mean another switch and knob ... I'll leave it here anyway: SIREN: "The siren control on mine is taking the 100R for R22 and putting it on one side of a DPDT toggle and putting a 10KB pot as a variable resistor. This is the same as lag control for the Schumann PLL circuit. Adds the option to make the Oscillator make those annoying siren sounds." Hope this helps.
  20. What are you going to put together? It would be cool to see some more builds here. Otherwise I'll just keep on boring you all with my stuff. Like this Data Corrupter, on a PedalPCB pcb. I added two mods, that is two switches, that got mentioned by a smart guy: Track, which lets you tame the madness a bit. Freq, which gives you a another pitch for the oscillation. It's a pretty wild ride, this pedal.
  21. No, I haven't. But I'd defenitely love to.
  22. Here's something based on the Systech OD. The guy who designed the PCB I used (https://www.instagram.com/laowiz/) is still tweaking the circuit and adding mods, so this is some sort of intermediate 1.1. version. What got added to the Systech circuit with this build is the "ZZZZ" control, which defines the shape of the distorted sound. It kind of goes from boost to the original OD to compressed fuzzy sounds. Then there is a diode switch: the stock SI (914), NONE and currently GE. The two caps that shape the filter are also socketed and have currently different values than the original. Finally the input cap has been changed (7NF instead of 1NF) from the Systech design. I might still try out different components, but it sounds pretty nice as is right now. It even does some cool white noise sounds with the Gain and Dist cranked when there is no input. Here's a quick sample: first SI, then GE, then NONE, then no input.
  23. ^^ That blender is nifty! ^^ Here are two boxes I finished recently. A 3 knob fuzz on a PCB from Fuzzdog, the Creme Fluff, I think it's a Frantone circuit. Sounds pretty massive with lots of lows and it has an amazing sustain. And on a PCB from Deadend FX - a recreation of the first version of the Silver Rose, which is a Superfuzz (with mids switch) and an Opamp Muff run in parallel with a Mix knob to blend them to taste. Then there's also a clean blend and tone/presence. It's a monster fuzz with lots of different types of fuzz tones available. It works alright sound wise, but there is something fishy with either the switching or some grounding issue (?), as with certain extreme settings of the switches/knobs, the pilot light lights up in bypass mode. Doesn't bother me too much, as it sounds as it should and I'm not running it with those settings anyway.
