Anthony bought my Tech 21 amp today - very straight forward dealing with him and prompt payment. You can all trade with confidence!! Thank you "Jimi"!!!

Sham 69 at Cleethorpes Winter Garden around 1979. Pursey had vocal feedback problems, gave us just 2 and a half songs!!!!
Told everyone to keep their tickets and they will return at a later date. They never did!!

Also..if you want to stay with G&L you could consider their jazz bass (JB2) or the SB2 which has a jazz neck.
I use both an L2000 and a JB2 (tributes). I get along fine with both neck widths. The anlico pickups in the jazz are quite hot sounding - for a jazz bass - while still being passive.

Mine had been re-tubed with Mesas. Loved the tone, but disliked the weight in the end so she had to move on.

Having GAS on a permenant basis, I have been through many basses during the last few years. From those bought and played, I would rate them as follows:-
1st - G&L L2000 and JB -2s
2nd - Chinese CVs - 50s and 60s P bass and a 60s Jazz
3rd - Revelation RPB
4th - Squier VM P bass
Also have a 70s Kasuga Ric copy and a JV P from 1983 which are in a different league (in a good way) but both cost less than the £500 mark.
Musicman SUBs are great but sold them on as prefered P basses in general.

Bought Kier's G&L bass from him. Packaged perfectly and it arrived swiftly. Completely satisfied with it. Many thanks for a seamless deal.

I feel your pain. For such a huge company, I think rather bizarrely, the options on new Fenders can be quite limited. I'd absolutely love a Fiesta Red P-Bass with tort pickguard. The only models that fulfill this seem to a discontinued Squier CV 60's or a Pino Palladino Signature at £3500
Try a Revelation RPB in red, sub Squier CV price for a really well put together and great sounding bass. Tweaked, theyre a really fine instrument.

Which one do you use paddy, I like a dark board, does it soak in ok
Ronseal but I imagine all quality brands are very similar as its colourless.Use sparingly, wipe excess away after 10 mins and leave overnight.

I use teak oil, meant to be used on outside garden furniture but is great for r/w fingerboards too. Leaves them really dark and sleek and smelling lovely.

Hi, may I have these please. Will pay postage. Thanks and kind regards, Paddy.

I swapped out the fairly flimsy bridge for a Wilkinson bbot with brass saddles on my red RBP. Thought Id swap the tuners too but they are very robust and hold pitch fine. Overall, it looks good, feels good and by golly it sounds great too, especially with flats!!!

Chinese made - hope they will come up to the older CV quality. Will forward order a white blonde and hope to find a rosewood Sq CV P bass neck - a maple board just doesnt do it for me.

Had one of these with the double pickups. Had a jazz neck fitted by mistake so sent it back. Does this have a "proper" p-width neck? 42mm at the nut?

Fire and wood!!!

Apart from a Tech21 VT500, Ive yet to play through anything I like the tones of more than my Metro plus ext cab at 4 ohms.

I keep kidding myself too 😂
So did I with a pair of GK112 Neos. Could carry both cabs together, one in each hand, but needed help with the head in a flightcase!!

Im using a VT500 through a B-112VT cab and loving the whole package. I want another matching cab so as to use the full 500 available watts but they seem few and far between and as Im not up on the history of these cabs, when were they in production from and until? See they were fairly expensive for non-neodinium driver magnets so maybe they didnt sell many. Were there any other cabs in that range or just the 112?
Thank you for any replies.
