Made by Fujigen Gakki, model number 2387, the set-neck P/J version is referred to as 'Custom' in the only catalogue I can find it in - Fujigen model number conventions suggest it's likely the proper designation's 2387B/DX.

Looks like there's no serial number which means it's pre 1976, and a quick look in the catalogues suggest this version appeared around 1974. There may be dateable codes on the pickups or possibly stamped on the back of the scratchplate but '74/5 seems likely.
Interestingly these pre-date actual Gibson Flying V basses by 9 or 10 years.
I think these are pretty rare - I suspect a lot of people on the Ibanez Vintage Guitars FB group would like to see it, and might well want to buy it off you.

Hi, thank you so much. This was given to my band's singer for his 19th birthday, some 25 years ago, barely played by him as he's a guitarist/singer, and just happened to mention it to me last week. After a couple of hours cleaning and setting up it now looks and plays great. Eventhough the truss rod is frozen in time, the neck relief is spot on and once the string height was reduced from 9/64ths!!!! to 5/64ths, all is good. He hadnt a clue what he had and I wasnt sure on all the facts so this reply is a great help. Thank you.

Hi, I have the silver faced ABM 3. Does your ABM 4 have the smooth pots for input and volume control or the notched type? Cheers.

5/64ths at the 17th fret. 12 thou neck relief at 7th fret, capo on 1st fret, hold down last fret.

Anyone have any information regarding the colour options there would have been for a Squier 1982 JV1 Precision with a rosewood neck please and what colour scratch plate would have been fitted to each? Thank you.

Pluck the strings, either with the corner near the nail or near the joint. Occasionally use a pick for string striking for some songs, otherwise mostly my thumb.

I like the look of that very much. But I'm not very happy about the designed and boched by Fender on the back of the headstock. Oops my eyesight again 🤣
No botches. Light reflected from flourescent tube.

Six colour options now - any advance on 6?

It's a P bass body - give it a P bass profile and nut-width neck.
