1. Bought a Harley Benton PowerPlant Jr from Jake recently. An easy transaction, with great communication from a pleasent guy. The Powerplant arrived very quickly (within 2 days) exactly as described & pictured, and packed to withstand a drop from a very high building! A pleasure to deal with you and I would not hesitate to do so again in the future. To anyone looking to buy/sell from Jake in the future, do so with confidence. | A+ | 10/10 | 2 thumbs up | Thanks!
 2. Hi there I've recently gone onto separate pedals instead of my old Boss GT-6B and realized that out of all the effects I used Flange & Chorus the most. What recommendations would you all give in terms of the most versatile chorus or flange pedal? Preferably nothing over £120ish per pedal. Edit: Also in the market for a versatile distortion/fuzz pedal any suggestions of these? Also another question; I'm thinking of getting my current (and future) pedals on a pedaltrain mini but I would prefer to avoid putting the velcro on the bottom of the pedals - are there any easy alternatives to this? ie some sort of holder/mount that the pedals could be placed in with the velcro on that? Sorry for any stupid questions, Thanks in advance! Bev
 3. Just bought a Sansamp Bass Driver DI pedal from Chris. Top bloke, very easy to communicate with. Pedal as describes, well packaged & sent on the friday and arrived by 11am the next day! | 10/10 | A+ | 2 thumbs up | Thanks very much for being a brilliant seller! To everyone else, buy with confidence

 5. When I bought mine I was told by the seller is was Basswood - however when I went to get it set-up the Luther (The String Surgeon in Horbury) told me it was actually a 2 piece Alder body - I was looking to get it stripped/re-finished at the time
 6. I was just wondering as I was thinking of selling mine - though I was thinking of no-where near that price I agree with £400 being the around about benchmark - must be the thrown in 'rare' which makes up for the extra £250
 7. Saw this on gumtree and was wondering if it was really worth the asking price? I own a 2005 Made in USA Sub 5 and didnt pay nearly as much for it (possibly more worn cosmetically but still)... Anyway, thoughts? http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/musicman-sub-bass-guitar-5-string-very-rare/1026648173#photo-content
 8. O.o ... how have I only just seen this?
 9.
trash the preferences, empty the trash, start again.
I just tried that and unfortunately Pro Tools is still a no-go, thank you for your help though!
 10. Hi there I'm wondering if any of you Pro Tools users could lend me a hand. I'm fairly new to recording, and mainly use it at College/University so the majority of problems are fixed through the IT Techs / Staff. I purchased Pro Tools 10 Students Edition in November and up until last month it was working fine. I've only just needed to use it again recently however whenever I attempt to load it up the program always seems to crash without errors. Though a few times I have received this pop-up: Could not complete your request because Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x00000010. I've tried getting help from Avid Support however it costs something stupid like £30-£40 for any help from them, which isn't really something I can afford especially if its possibly just a simple fix. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated, I've tried re-installing about 10 times now both on my main C drive (SSD) and D drive (1TB Hard Drive) though neither seems to do anything. Someone advised me on changing the USB Port of the ILok though this didnt help either. Anyways! Awaiting all your wise advise and words while I curse the words 'Pro Tools' Thanks, Bev

 12.
Does this mean I've just been Rick -rolled ?
Well it was meant to come up as a video not a link - guess I messed that up but.... Maybe?
 13. Sorry boys... but surely this is the most recognized (dreaded!) drum intro of all time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ P.S. Sorry again!
 14. The same guys trying to flog off the 'Fender' on one of the music gear selling groups on facebook...
For sale is this rare and awesome example of a USA Fender Precision Bass made between 1982 and 1985 (E serial number - one of the first batch at the Corona California factory). I have looked after this bass and it is absolutely excellent 'never gigged' condition. It has had studio use only. In stunning electric blue, this is the best Precision I have ever played - the action is low and it plays like butter. The guitar comes with a free Gator hard case (pictured). £900 ONO. Please call or text on 07799776217 if you have an offer or any questions whatsoever. Ta, Simon
So it seems he's also telling white lies as well, saying he's looked after it when really he's bought it of some other bloke and trying to sell it on well over the original price he got it for (£350) - he's already sold the free laney amp that was included by the original owner for £45.. I hope someone doesn't get ripped off thinking its a genuine.
 15.
BTW Miss W - a friend of mine's daughter recently got the Vox Lil Looper (think that's the name) - and it is very good, especially for live work! And it's reasonably priced too.
Ahh brilliant thanks I'll look into them, only really had a bit of experience with the Boss Loop Station series (the RC3 & RC300)
 16.
GAK are somewhat unprofessional IMHO because when they don't have any stock they leave it on their website and note it 'call' for delivery date!
Thats true, Can't say I've ever bought anything from GAK but a few friends have and they haven't had a problem in the past (unless they never told me!) I usually use Thomann for any music gear - just realized they also have them for sale - and in stock too and at a much lower price. If you haven't used Thomann before I recommend them, usually have really good deals, a lot cheaper than most places and good customer services. Bought from them for over 3 years now.
 17. GAK have some on their website - though I don't know whether they have any in stock at the moment. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/steinberger-spirit-xt-25/53660

 20.
... try and keep the 2x12 for as long as you can........... This will be tough, as the pressure will be to 'upgrade', 'bigger is best' blah blah..
I used to have a Trace Elliot GP7SM300 2x10" combo that I loved but sold due to lack of use only to end up buying my current set up a month later - I think I just used that as an excuse, I can't see me upgrading to a bigger cab any time soon, simply no space to store it! Although I can see me selling/trading in my Orange SP212 at some point, I've had to restrain myself from getting a Markbass New York 112 on 0% finance. I've done a fair few gigs though mainly in pubs (a few times in the Leeds Cockpit - upstairs room though ) and most others have been Uni-related gigs using a Ashdown Mag 410 with Hartke 2500 head (2500 or 3500 not quite sure)... anyway thanks for the advice and nice to meet you!

 22.
Are you at uni? Forgive my ignorance but I don't know what a HND is
Hi Myke, nice to meet you and everyone else as well of course! HND (Higher National Diploma) is a course which takes the first two years of Uni and teaches it to usually a smaller group of students and at a much lower cost - mine is £5600 a year instead of £9000, which is quite a difference, after that of course I would have to 'top-up' at a university to get my diploma
