  5. Hi all, Superb quality, superb range of tones, very playable basses. Usual Japanese very high build quality. Almost certainly one of the most under rated and under appreciated basses out there. Transparent Red finish, a couple of dinks and dents here and there but nothing that is serious at all. The Transparent red finish highlights the lovely grain on this bass. This electrics / wiring loom have been upgraded with a wiring loom kit from Basschat’s Ki0gon. Controls are Volume/Volume/Tone/Tone. This is a great upgrade and has taken an already great bass to another level, definitely a worthwhile and significant upgrade. It has also benefited from an advanced set up by Jacks Instrument services so is ready to roll. The price includes a small amp and also a Hercules wall hanger. Any inspection more than welcome. It was purchased from here and if needed i can give you the members details to vouch for both me and the bass. Apologies for the crap photos, photography aint my best talent ![attachment=163306:IMG_3231.JPG]
  6. Superb ! I like people with character and that bass looks mahooosive !
  7. It's probably been said many times before, but as a beginner bassist I'm finding that it is a totally different beast to guitar. Granted, I've only been learning guitar for 9 months and have had my bass for the past 6 months. It's been hung on the wall next to my guitars and I've finally got round to doing something about learning it ! It is a totally different instrument to learn. Apart from theory it's pretty much starting from day 1 again. Learning simple riffs is not too bad but the big thing I'm not getting is the muting of the strings after I've played the note. I'm learning Chameleon by Herbie Hancock and the muting makes the riff. Oh well, each journey starts with small steps.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions people. Ill throw me own choice of Be thankfull for what you got by William Devaughn. One of my top 5 tracks of all time so I ask you, is this possibly for a beginner to have a go at ?

  15. I'm a beginner and have a decent enough SGC Nanyo 4 string but am yearning for a P bass but not sure which to go for for as there are so many that seem to differ by year etc. What's considered to be a pretty good all round Fender P Bass that's not gonna cost the earth ?
  16. I'm just starting out on this journey and realise 70's funk ain't the ideal beginner friendly genre to start with. With that in mind, I ask you the good people's , are there any funk riffs that would be ok for a beginner ? Cheers all
