  1. When I look at the threads on here I ain't forts a clue what half of it is about, but I would like to add a simple but effective efects box but don't want anything complicated. Must be simple, good quality and easy to use. What's out there ?
  2. Am after just an amp for home practise but know next to bigger all about them other than they make my bass sound louder. What's a good home practise amp that ain't to complicated ?

  6. I really like the 70's Jazz bass look
  7. If I'm totally honest, I don't really like the look of it. I know that's really shallow, but ya got ya look at your bass and get excited ain't ya
  8. As I am only a beginner I've learned that one of my favourite genres, funk, is probably not in the domain of a beginner. That said, how long would it take a beginner to get into funk, months/years ?
  9. Oooh, a hats loverly but I'd have to sell mine first to get me part of the cash. Just what I'm after
  10. The advice is greatly appreciated. I guess if I change then as long as what I get is nice and easy to play for a beginner

  13. I'm talking low end around the 300 to 400 mark and am wanting to get something slightly better than my Bass Collection Nanyo. I'm after something that is easy to play in my still very much beginner hands. Was thinking of a Squire Vintage Jazz ? My influences are Norman Watt Roy, Stranglers, Stones , funk, none of which I can play at mo but just to give an idea of what I'm into.. Was thinking a Jazz as it would give me more versatility ?
  14. I'm trying to figure how to add pics from my phone
  15. SOLD SOLD SOLD Bass Collection SGC Nanyo SB301 MIJ Trans Red - Upgraded Electrics. Passive PRICE DROP TO £160, which includes a Kustom practise amp and a padded gig bag Superb quality, superb range of tones, very playable basses. Usual Japanese very high build quality. Almost certainly one of the most under rated and under appreciated basses out there. Transparent Red finish, a couple of dinks and dents here and there but nothing that is serious at all. The Transparent red finish highlights the lovely grain on this bass. This electrics / wiring loom have been upgraded with a wiring loom kit from Basschat’s Ki0gon. Controls are Volume/Volume/Tone/Tone. This is a great upgrade and has taken an already great bass to another level, definitely a worthwhile and significant upgrade.
