I hated my experience going there! I went to get a new amp and having recorded my last albumn on EBS Fafner (not mine) I wanted to tryout the little EBS amp for smaller gigs. From the start I was told I didnt know what I wanted, the amp I currently owned was wrong for me. my bass was totally unsuitable for me, why the hell did I want the ebs and not Genz shuttle. The strangest thing is that he never asked me what kind of music I played or anything about my musical ability so how the hell did he knowwhat was right or wrong for me? He did finally demo the ebs (not letting me!) but someone else walked in and he asked what can I do for you? the reply was I want to buy a dingwall and genz stack. He instantly dropped me, left me waiting 30mins while he was doing a much larger sale so I walked out in discuss and got one from here 2nd hand

I think that’s the most amazing bass I’ve seen on build diaries this year. It’s totally stunning, a very ‘modern classic’ look that really appeals to me. Congratulations on owning such a lovely bass, i'm jeleous

Great review, I bet it was hard letting Dave take it back? The pickup switching sounds very interesting and unique. Really looking forward to seeing the photos of the finished bass

[color=#222222]Yes I guess your right I should learn to tweak my basses and I'll have a good read up on the subject, and ultimately everyone like basses setup slightly differently but if I owned a shop trying to sell basses I wouldn’t want them setup so bad they felt not worth the money.[/color]

I've been looking for a nice new Fender P and tried quite a few out in local shops. They just havent played anywhere near the level they should for the cost. Other brands have felt right in the same shop I guess it's a lot down to setup, is it the shops responsability for setup or Fender before they ship them? Either way I cant justify spending that amount of money then paying someone to set it up.

The maple is so sweet that is going to be amazing. Whats that strange looking wood under the neck on the photo of the back of the neck? I dont think i've seem anything like that before

I went to see Dave this afternoon about possibly having a bass made, I saw this one and I've gotta say it looks even better in the flesh! Possibly one of the best looking basses I've ever seen, and to think its going to be even better when it's all finished

Hi everyone. I've been coming here for some time as I find a wealth of knowledge. I've not joined before as I dont feel I can really add much as I havent got the same level of experience but I cant put it off anymore! I have played keyboards for many years and started playing bass about 2 years ago for recording the material I write but I find myself wanting to play bass more than anything else now
