1. My Musicman Sterling 4 string just doesn't suit the new band's sound, hence it's up for grabs. I would like to end up with a 4 string Fender Marcus Miller Jazz, or something very similar, and it must be with the natural ash look. Now for sale - £750. 2. Guys, Many thanks for the advice. One new Switchcraft jack socket and a bit of fiddly soldering later, and it is a mended guitar with a normal appetite for batteries, rather than a serious habit for them. (Anyone else with a battery hungry Warwick please take note) Thanks again.
3. Keith, Okay - understood. I also have a MiM P-Bass with a Gotoh bridge and a Kent Armstrong humbucker pickup professionally fitted, probably of similar value to the cab. Picture attached - is this of interest? (If I had the cash at the mo' I'd have the cab off you sharp'ish, but I'm running on empty) Regards, Phil
4. Keith, Thanks for the reply. Sounds perfect (and I'm sure it does) - would a straight swap for a Warwick 4 string $$ be of any interest to you? Regards, Phil
5. Bump on the Warwick $$, and also on the P-Bass - I have a speaker cabinet deal in the offing, so am very keen to offload either to finance it. Offers? (King Tut / Col - I'd be more than happy to meet up and return the P-Bass it to its rightful owner, if you want it back) Regards, Phil
6. Hi - is the cab still available, and how much would you accept for it? And what's the impedance? Regards, Phil
7. Pictures added Dabootsy - apologies for the delay. Been busy at a country fair, on a greyhound awareness stand. Rock and roll, eh?! Thanks for the good words regarding the P-Bass, King Tut. If only we'd agreed on a deal for your Thumb, I'd be content by now. There again, it was a 5 string, and I'm bad enough on a 4. Benwhiteuk - pm'd, ta. BanksKS - it's a '94 that I took in a p/ex for my Thunderbird (radical swap or what?!), with three band EQ, and a stacked blend/volume pot. Hence I've no idea on a value - make me an offer, and I'll give it due consideration. Thanks for the .de site tip, too. Anyone interested in the Warwick Corvette $$? Thanks again for the interest, folks. Regards, Phil
8.
Following a severe attack of GAS and a realisation that a 4 string Warwick Thumb is the answer to all my tonal wants and needs forever (well, this month at least), I've made up my mind that a Thumb must be obtained somehow. Sadly the funds are low, but I do have three nice basses that I'm just not using at the mo'. Is there someone out there with a Thumb who'd care to strike up a deal based around one, or one and some cash, or possibly a combination of several, of the following: 1) MiM P-Bass with Gotoh bridge and Kent Armstrong humbucker, in the bridge position 2) Warwick Corvette 4 string $$ in black 3) Warwick Steamer Stage 1 4 string I'm based near Birmingham and Redditch, if you want to visit and try. Regards, Phil
All PMs replied to.

10. Guys, Thanks for the info - the two batteries were bought brand new and installed just as I bought the bass, and the previous owner did say that it was heavy on batteries. I've used it on and off over two weeks, probably for a cumulative total of two hours maximum, and always removed the lead when finished (been there before!). I then took my new pride and joy to a band rehearsal, plugged in and............nothing. Switched to passive, and used that for the evening. I'll check out the wiring and soldering soon, but I was hoping it was a known fault with a quick fix. Oh well. Thanks again folks, and any other thoughts, opinions or experiences will be most gratefully received and checked out. Also, any recommended Warwick repair people in Birmingham? Regards, Phil
11. Hi, Anyone got any advice on my recently acquired Stage I '94 Streamer, with Bartolinis, 18V electronics and a hunger for batteries? The two new ones lasted for about two hours, and the jack lead was removed as soon as I stopped playing. Anyone got any advice (I'm okay with a soldering iron and component swap if require) or recommendations for a repair centre - I'm in Birmingham. Thanks folks, Regards, Phil
12. Would you consider a Warwick Double Buck 4 string in black, for a swap? I'm not entirely sure that it's on its going, but tell me what you think - it may help me make my mind up. Regards, Phil
