Like - you need more backing singers like the lady in black and white - she was doing way more than the guys in suits

It's not really my call the Elvis and I work for a few decide that he just hired me for this show along with the others ... sometimes they don't always have the people available..or the budget but this is the first show where their has been two guys and not three girls backing ..on my next one I believe it's two girls one guy. ..

  2. The bass is all carbon graphite designed by Stanley Clarke/Spellbinder. This is probably the only one on the UK and was imported from Michigan USA. 09 of 50, and made in 1980. After the 50 was made, they broke the moulds so no more would be made. So its a rare beast. Its a very powerful bass. It's not through neck or bolt on, it just one piece of carbon graphite.
Bass removed from the track, song is not everyone's cuppa!!

  3. This bass is one the best non active jazz fender made which is not USA. It is flat black . Mint apart from a small mark on back and extra strap lock button fitted professional job. Comes with a gig bag. Loads of powerful tones from this now rare super jazz. This has had a neat mod, which is a 3 way switch (1st pot) seems to give it more oomph and the jack moved underneath, all very very well done, thought it was factory until i looked at the others! I have by mistake underpriced it looking at reverb so no offers on it .. thanks

    You're preaching to the Choir...

Spalted Amboyna top is amazing - beautiful figuring. This is one of only two single cut Harlots that Alan built. If it was headless I would never have sold it.

Whoever buys this is getting an amazing bass - the JE Pre is up there with the best in the world. I've heard it referred to being as good as Wal and Alembic by a number of previous owners. Not the easiest thing to master but once you've found a tone you're happy with LEAVE IT ALONE!!

yes it is a beautiful bass. I hope it finds itself a forever home. Must have cost a ton of cash to have it made..

  6. This bass is as new still has plastic on the pickups ..comes with fitted case...for some reason it is missing the rear strap button but I will put one there .. might not be an exact match could do with a new set of strings ...but because of its condition and case etc I think it's worth the asking but open to close offers. ..thanks

I wondered where this had ended up, stunning bass. I regret selling this but then again, it is too long for me. You will not find a broader range of tones than the filters on this bass provide, it's a glorious thing. One day it'll find a permanent home. I think this is possibly the most beautiful bass Alan has made.

Hi, do you know how much it would have cost to build ? and it's year? thanks

I have chronic back problems with several prolapsed intervertebral discs. Trust me, the weight matters to me no matter how well it balances, hence the question. Both my Wal Pro 2 and my custom Alembic were 4.5kg and I had to sell both because when I put them on my legs went numb.  🙄

wow that's such a shame, i hope your are ok...lots of guys i know have back and neck trouble, including me but nothing like that.

Oh WOW!! Nice to see my old bass.

This is an AMAZING bass - the pre-amp (filters) gives a huge range of tones - if you can't find the tone you're after, it doesn't exist.

Strange that the weight was asked - I never considered this to be a heavy bass, such is the excellent balance - hangs perfectly on a leather 3" strap.

This is another of the basses that I was too precious with - loved playing it but always worried that any damage from a drop would result in devaluing it by several hundreds of pounds. Nice to see it's for sale at what I sold it for - CHEAP at the current price.

IIRC I sold it in a Hiscox case which it fits with a bit of modification to the padding.

Hi there, i just guessed on the price so i was about right!! its a bit complicated for me the Pre amp, and like you did not think the weight was an issue at all, seems about average to me..

I do wish this would stop coming up. It’s always very tempting. Played it back in the day at Moffat, IIRC when Peter still had it. I seem to remember it was noticeably heavier than the basses I had then though; is it possible to confirm the weight?

Hi the weight is 4.5kg, so i don't think it's particularly heavy, it's very compact though and balances well...but you would Know that. I'm open to offers on this, not silly ones though!!
