1. It certainly has been! I'm up to my ears in bubble-wrap and cardboard packing it up...
2. Hmmm, think I'm going to check up some more on the JV site! Seeing as my Roscoe Beck has provisionally sold (at last!), I may now keep this. I'll have a think over the weekend...
3. ***SOLD!!!*** Hooray! It's funny how things work out on here isn't it?
4. ***WITHDRAWN*** I bought this earlier on in the year- as you can see from the pics it's been well played over the course of its lifetime, which makes it all the cooler I think! This is either an '83 or '84 model- the serial number is JV52613. As far as I know it's original, apart from some of the scratchplate screws. The scratchplate itself IS the original single-ply white plastic one, but it has been sprayed gold at some point by a previous owner- I reckon the paint could be stripped off easily if desired, but I think it looks better this way! The pickup and controls are all original and unmolested (I had a peek!). One minor thing- the tone pot is a little crackly & stiff, but doesn't cause any problems once it's set! The hardware is oxidised, but works fine. The neck is really comfortable and smooth to play, and the frets have plenty of life left in them. The finish has aged to a lovely cream- the hairline cracks you can see near the bridge are only cosmetic! This bass is fairly lightweight, plays really well, and has a lovely mellow vintage-y sound... Fitted with worn D'addario Pro Steels. I bought this without a case, so it doesn't have one! I'm looking for just £400 for this... no trades please! More photos and info on request. Collect from Liverpool city centre, OR I can deliver within 50 mile radius in exchange for fuel costs, OR I will ship, again at extra cost. PS The strap and plastic straplocks will be supplied, but not the pick! Thanks for looking...

9. Can't see this hanging about for too long, £1200 is peanuts for such an amazing rig! I'd love this but I'm just about to take delivery of my 2nd Berg HS210... Have a Berg-sized BUMP from over the water on me Steve!

11. Which album did you mean mate? 'Because Of The Times' is the most recent one I've heard, and it's ace! Jared's turning into a really cool player these days... his part on 'On Call' makes that track! Seriously, some great songs on this album people... check it out! Edit: just noticed the thread title... duh!
Hi there, I'm only interested in trading for Bergantino cabs, otherwise a straight cash sale... cheers! EDIT: Just bought a 2nd Berg HS210 today, so looking for a straight cash sale only on this now...
16. You're right Smash, this doesn't deserve the indignity of being whored out on t'bay... OK people, how's about £750 for this lovely instrument then?
17. Prime-time BUMP! Damn, I REALLY don't want to Ebay this, but it looks like I might have to now...
18.
Hey dude, I would like to use this as a monitor for my drummer as he never hears the bass. Now is there any chance of me putting a volume knob on it so that he can tweak how much he needs rather than the direct output fromthe bass amp which would blow his ears orrff!
Funny you should mention that mate- I had the exact same idea last night! Yes, it would be possible if you used a heavy-duty volume attenuator, built to deal with the power of the signal coming in from the amp's output- I've seen and used a passive Peavey slave monitor with such a device fitted. I definitely wouldn't recommend wiring in a normal bass guitar-type volume pot- it would probably get blown to smithereens! I reckon you'd be able to get the right bits to do the job in Maplin... what do you think?
19. This is now SOLD... Thanks Paul!
20. These are now SOLD... deal to be completed this weekend!
21. PRICE DROP: NOW £775! Please don't make me have to E-bay this...
22. UPDATE: I'm now including the home-made dolly that you can see the cabs sitting on in the photos, PLUS 2 good-quality 1/4" speaker leads in this sale!
23. I put this together a few months ago as a little project... The monitor enclosure was given to me by a mate- the original woofer had blown, so I decided to convert it into a bass monitor as an experiment! I (carefully) installed a brand-new 12" Skytronic 300W 8ohm PA speaker and removed the tweeter assembly (the guts will be included in case anyone wants to reconnect it). The speaker is wired directly to the single jack input with quality Rockford Fosgate speaker cable, and I've fitted 4 brand-new rubber feet from Maplin too. I spent over £70 on the new speaker and parts, so I think £50 is a very fair price for this- no offers please! Buyer collects from Liverpool city centre, or I can deliver within a 50-mile radius if my diesel costs are covered. Postage can be arranged at additional cost... Thanks for looking! EDIT: NOW REDUCED TO £40
