  1. This is my absolutely gorgeous 1989 Precision. It's lovely in aged Oly White that has matured to a really nice cream. The bass has Fender Custom shop 62 pickups, CTS pots and Orange Drop cap. It also has a Custom made Tortie scratch plate, Hosko vintage style threaded Bridge and Schaller licenced machine heads. It weighs just about 3.5kg on my bathroom scales. The bass like most MIK instruments is made of ply. Or, if you buy a Gibson 335, Laminated Tonewood! There's one tiny mark at the top of the neck. You can see it but you can't feel it. Sorry l forgot to mention the decal. It was on when l bought the bass but this is not a Fender. Definitely an MIK Squier. I would prefer cash on collection if possible but can post at the buyers cost. No trades thanks.
  2. Thank you very much. This the site l was looking for. I’ve contacted them and hopefully they can help me. Cheers. Mike
  3. Morning I seem to remember a few years ago that there was a shop trading in Hofner parts. I’m looking at the moment for a trapeze tailpiece but I’m finding it really hard to get one. Does anyone know of a shop/trader that could help me please? Thanks. Mike

  6. Thank you. The reason for changing the key is to help the singer. I do have a tuner, l just thought a pitch shifter might be more convenient if one existed for bass. 😀👍😀
  7. Hiya BCers. This is probably a daft question. I’ve just got into a new band and they often want to change the key down a semi tone which they do by moving their capo. I’m wondering if it’ll be useful for me to try a pitch shifter pedal, that is if one actually exists for bass. What do do you think? All suggestions gratefully accepted. Thanks. Mike
  8. I agree. I’ve got three of these all 89 and they’re all great 👍

Iain is real pleasure to deal with and he is a credit to Basschat. I can highly recommend him and you can deal with him confidently. Thanks mate. 👍👍👍👍👍
  11. I forgot to say. This amp comes in the official Markbass padded gig bag which is in very good condition. Cheers. Mike
  12. I’m sorry, l did this post on my phone and obviously l can’t do it properly. Just another senior moment🤪 This is my lovely 2014 500 watt Big Bang bought from this forum about 3 years ago. It sounds great, it’s powerful and has never let me down. I don’t play much anymore so it has to go. It’s currently paired up with my Markbass 151P which is advertised in a separate post but they’re a match made in heaven. I live in Catterick Village and prefer cash on collection but I’m happy to post at The buyers expense. I don’t want any trades thanks. Sorry about mess up with the post. I’ve learned my lesson. No more phone dabbling for me🤪. I would like £275 ONO please.

  15. WeHere is a set of Heavy 1954 Original Vintage LaBella flats. They’re used but excellent and cut for a Precision/Jazz Bass. They’re really great strings but too heavy for me. Silks all in great condition and plenty of length on them for windings. I would like £20 posted please. Thanks. Mike
  16. I bought a set of LaBella flats from Dan. Dan is a first class seller. Excellent transaction from start to finish and the strings are spot on. Thanks. Dan 😀🎸😀🎸😀
